2 On March 2016, the twelfth Sport Fishing Show, Sweden s biggest meeting place for all recreational anglers, will be held at Stockholmsmässan. The exhibition will introduce hundreds of industry players to visitors looking to see all the latest, meet the big names in fishing, find inspiration and feel the buzz about the coming angling season. An impressive 3.2 million Swedes go fishing and the angling industry is worth over five billion kronor a year amazing figures. 3 Why exhibit at the Sport Fishing Show? The Sport Fishing Show is the largest event of its kind in Sweden. It is a touring national exhibition that attracts visitors with an interest in fishing from across Sweden. In 2016, the exhibition will be held at Stockholmsmässan. Here people will be brought together by their common interest to find out all the latest, try activities, compete, look at boats and book fishing trips. The exhibition is strongly supported by companies, organisations and schools. The event also has ambitions to increase interest in angling and promote fishery conservation. 4 Crowd-pleasing activities A whole host of different crowd-pleasing activities are held over the three days, including displays in the fish pond and casting lanes, an angling school, lectures, films, fishing simulators, competitions, kids fishing school, a fishing square and fly tying. Best stands The year s Best stand, Best retail stand and Best stand experience are voted for at the exhibition. The winners in each category receive a cup and free registration for next year s exhibition. Edgeflyfishing Casting Cup 2016 For the fifth year in a row, the Sport Fishing Show will host the prestigious Edgeflyfishing Casting Cup. The competition was expanded in 2012, adding the Edge One Shot Competition to make three events, one per day. The cup has great prizes and proves very popular every year. 5 How to find us Both buses and commuter trains stop at Älvsjö Station, which is right next to Stockholmsmässan. The journey by commuter train from Stockholm Central Station to Stockholmsmässan takes just ten minutes. Fast and environmentally friendly, now that s an unbeatable combination! Address: Mässvägen 1, Älvsjö, Sweden Adress Mässvägen 1, Älvsjö BY SL (Public Transportation) There are 8-14 commuter train departures every hour from Stockholm Central Station to Älvsjö Station, which is only a 200-meter walk from Stockholmsmässan s Main entrance. The journey takes just ten minutes. The commuter train from Arlanda Airport also stops at Älvsjö station. The train departs two times an hour and the journey takes 47 minutes. The train departs from Sky City, between terminals 4 and 5. By car Take the E4/E20 and follow the signs for Mässan/Älvsjö.
