2 Travel Distances in the Empire (and beyond) Following travelling distances are based on the various maps, that should be credited here. First number is average based on the next two. Second number is based on the Gitzmans Map (collected and modified from the maps made originally by Alfred Nunez Jr and Andreas Blicher) Great work! Third number is based on the official maps made by Andy Law River Map (Warhammer Companion, WFRP2), Thousand Thrones Campaign Map (The Thousand Thrones, WFRP2), Kislev Map (Realm of the Ice Queen, WFRP2), Border Princes Map (Renegade Crowns, WFRP2) and also Andy s huge map about the Empire. My distances should cover most of the main routes (land and water) between major settlements (and some minor ones). This should help GM to figure out distances to other places more easily. Also note that there could be huge differences between various routes depending what map do you use (in scale and also in geography). Encounter Danger Level (after route): - : Minor. Well patrolled and travelled route. Mininum danger for hostile encounters (outlaws, Beastmen, Greenskins, monsters, restless dead etc.). : Moderate. Could be patrolled and travelled route, but possibility to hostile encounters (outlaws, Beastmen, Greenskins, monsters, restless dead etc.) is larger than average. Area is dangerous. Travellers should be prepared for this. Danger is well-known. : High. Wild area or some other way dangrous area. No patrols. Chance for hostile encounter (outlaws, Beastmen, Greenskins, monsters, restless dead etc.) is great. In the area there are probably living large hostile groups (like Beastmen herds or Greenskin tribes etc) or it could be other way hazardous (realm of the undead, lands of the northern marauders etc). Travelling is more safer in a larger company, yet dangerous still.
