1 INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP Three Rivers College offers a variety of academic, service, private and endowed scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on criteria set forth by the institution and or donor. Institutional scholarships may be adjusted due to cost of attendance and or receipt of A+ funding. Scholarship awards will be awarded contingent upon funding. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS The following scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate academic achievement or exceptional talent. These scholarships are awarded by the College Scholarship Committee in the spring of each year. Scholarship applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by April 1 and may be obtained at trcc.edu. Unless otherwise indicated, the following academic scholarships are renewable for four consecutive semesters (excluding summer and winter) with the first semester beginning the fall semester after high school graduation. The student must complete 12 hours successfully with a 2.5 semester GPA. Actual award is based on the number of hours enrolled at the time the scholarship is applied to the account and does not pay for dropped classes during the semester. Trustee Scholarship Nine new scholarships will be awarded to the highest ranking senior who plans to attend Three Rivers College from each of the in-district high schools. To be eligible, the student must rank in the top 10% of the graduation class or score at least a 23 composite on the ACT. All candidates must have a letter of recommendation from the high school counselor. Final selection will be made by the college scholarship committee. Opportunity Scholarship Eighteen new scholarships will be awarded to outstanding seniors from the in-district high schools. To be eligible, the student must rank in the top 25% of the graduation class or score at least a 21 composite on the ACT. All candidates must have a letter of recommendation from the high school counselor. Final selection will be made by the college scholarship committee. Incentive Scholarship Twenty new scholarships will be awarded to outstanding seniors from out-ofdistrict high schools each year. To be eligible, the student must rank in the top 25% of the graduation class or score at least a 21 composite on the ACT. All candidates must have a letter of recommendation from the high school counselor. Final selection will be made by the college scholarship committee. GED Scholarship Seventeen scholarships equal to in-district tuition are available to outstanding students through the GED examination. To be eligible, the student must score a minimum of 280 on the GED test (before January 2002) or 2800 on the test taken after January Students receiving the GED scholarship must carry a minimum of 9 credit hours the first semester and at least 12 credit hours each subsequent semester, while maintaining a 2.5 GPA each semester, for renewal of this scholarship. Agriculture Scholarship Six scholarships will be offered equal to in-district tuition to selected agriculture students with Missouri. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of interest and ability. The agriculture faculty will recommend recipients to the Scholarship committee prior to the start of the fall semester. Memorial Scholarship One new scholarship equal to in-district tuition will be awarded to the top placing high school senior in the Missouri Industrial Technology Fair. This scholarship will be awarded in memory of Three Rivers College students. SERVICE SCHOLARSHIPS The following service scholarships are awarded to students who perform a service for the college. The scholarships are awarded by the respective faculty or staff sponsors in conjunction with the Financial Aid Office. Unless otherwise indicated, scholarships are equal to in-district tuition. Students must complete 12 hours successfully with a 2.0 semester GPA. Actual award is based on the number of hours enrolled at the time the scholarship is paid and does not pay for dropped courses during the semester. In addition, the student must meet all of the requirements listed for their respective scholarship. Ambassador Scholarships A total of 15 scholarships in the amount of $1, per semester will be awarded to Ambassadors. Ambassadors will be selected through an interview process by a committee, selected and chaired by the Director of Admissions and Recruitment. Selection will be based on leadership, service, character and academic achievement. Ambassadors must perform 100 service hours each semester and serve under the direction of the Director of Admissions and Recruitment. For more information, please contact the Welcome Center at (573) Housing Resident Assistant Scholarship A total of seven scholarships equal to tuition, fees and housing will be awarded. Resident assistants will be selected through an interview process. Selection will be based on leadership, character and academic achievement. Resident assistants will perform service hours each semester and serve under the direction of the Housing Director. For more information, please contact the Rivers Ridge Housing at (573) Music Scholarship A limited number of scholarships in the amount of in-district tuition will be awarded to talented vocal and instrumental musicians. Auditions will be scheduled with the Music Department. For more information, please contact the Music Department at (573) Student Government Scholarship One scholarship for the amount of tuition will be awarded to the Student Senate President, Vice-President, Vice-President for Activities, Secretary, Treasurer and Parliamentarian. Student must declare candidacy and be elected to the position. For more information, please contact the Welcome Center at (573) Rodeo Scholarship A limited number of scholarships may include tuition, fee, books, or housing. For more information, contact the Rodeo Coaching Staff at Cheer Scholarship A total of 16 cheer scholarships equal to tuition, books, fees and 25% towards housing will be awarded to Three Rivers Raider Cheerleaders. Selection will be based on a try-out process held in spring each year. Scholarships may be renewable if student completes 12 hours each semester and maintains a cumulative GPA of a 2.0. Dance Scholarship A total of 12 dance team scholarships in the amount of $500 per semester will be awarded to Three Rivers Dance Team members. Selection will be based on a try-out process held in spring each year. Scholarships may be renewable if students complete 12 hours each semester and maintains a cumulative GPA of a 2.0. Recipients must comply with the Three Rivers College Cheer Team Rules and Regulations. ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS Men s Basketball Scholarship A total of 11 scholarships equal to tuition, books, fees, meals, and housing will be awarded. Selection will be based on a try-out process. Scholarships may be renewable based on NJCAA requirements. Women s Basketball Scholarship A total of 14 scholarships equal to tuition, books, fees, meals, and housing will be awarded. Selection will be based on a try-out process. Scholarships may be renewable based on NJCAA requirements. Baseball Scholarship A total of 22 scholarships equal to tuition, books, fees, 6 meal scholarships, and 16 housing scholarships will be awarded. Selection will be based on a try-out process. Scholarships may be renewable based on NJCAA requirements.

2 Softball Scholarship A total of 17 scholarships equal to tuition, books, fees and housing and 7 meal scholarships will be awarded. Selection will be based on a try-out process. Scholarships may be renewable based on NJCAA requirements. For more information on athletic scholarships, please contact the Athletic Department at (573) GENERAL AWARDS AND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS The following scholarships are made possible through the generous support of individuals and groups in the college service area. Memorial scholarships have been established in memory of outstanding individuals through the generous support of family members and/or individuals. Students must submit a scholarship application yearly to the Financial Aid Office which is available via the web at trcc.edu or in the Financial Aid Office. The scholarships are listed according to particular requirements for the scholarship. Scholarship selection and enrollment status is based on criteria requested by the donor. For more information regarding scholarships, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (573) AARP Scholarship: Scholarship awarded to Butler County residents who are majoring in Social Work or Nursing. Recipient must be First Midwest Bank Scholarship: Scholarship available to recent graduates in the college district. First Midwest Bank will select recipients and notify the Three Rivers College Financial Aid Office of final selection. Award amount may vary. Recipients do not have to be Fred M. Morrow Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded based on financial need and scholastic ability. First preference will be given to an education major that resides within the college district. Grace Garner Scholarship KB of PEO: This scholarship will be awarded with first preference given to a non-traditional female from Poplar Bluff. Scholarship will be awarded based on financial need. Harold Prim Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in Engineering or Architecture. Recipient must be enrolled full Helvey Miller Memorial Scholarship: Memorial Scholarship established in memory of Jessie Hazel Miller Helvey and James Relford Helvey, former residents of Ripley and Butler counties. Scholarship will be awarded to residents of Ripley or Butler counties who exhibit financial need. Scholarship may be renewed the second year if the recipient completes at least 24 hours and maintains a 2.5 GPA during the first award year. Hulen & Daisy Spencer Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student. Recipients must be International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F) Lodge #179 Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a relative of an Odd Fellow and/or deserving student from the College District. Recipient will be selected on the basis of need, character, and academic promise. Joda W. Bess Memorial Scholarship: Memorial scholarships will be awarded to deserving students based on financial need and academic standing. Students do not have to be full time status to qualify for this scholarship. Joshua Bowman Baseball Memorial Scholarship: Memorial scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior from Stoddard or Butler County. Prospective students must have an ACT composite score of at least 18 or rank in the upper 25% of the graduating class and have financial need. Recommendations will be made the Three Rivers College Athletic Department. The recipient must be accepted into the Raider s baseball team prior to final approval of the scholarship committee. Recipient must be Lesley Kilbreath Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to freshman or sophomore students based on financial need and academic standing. Open to any major. Applicants who are returning must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA to apply. First preference will be given to applicants who receive little or no other financial aid assistance. The scholarship may be renewable the sophomore year if the student meets scholarship criteria. The recipient will be selected by the Trustees of the Lesley Kilbreath scholarship foundation. Recipients must be (Special scholarship application required with donor). Lonnie Davis Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to deserving students from the college district. The recipient will be selected on the basis of need, character, and academic promise. Recipients must be Mildred Norton Lewis Memorial: Memorial established in memory of Mildred Norton Lewis a charter member and district Governor for the Altrusa Club. Scholarship will be awarded based on academic ability and financial need. Preference shall be given to a female resident of Butler County. The scholarship may be renewable for a second year if the student meets scholarship criteria. Recipients must be Missy Braden Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded based on interest. Recipient must be Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Hays Sr. Memorial Scholarship: Memorial trust fund created by the family of Paul C. Hays Sr. A scholarship will be awarded based on Christian character, scholarship, and financial need. Recipient must be Myrtle Rutland Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded based on academic standing and financial need. Amount of award(s) will be based on accrued interest. Recipient must be enrolled in at least 6 hours. Paul C. Hays, Jr. Memorial Scholarship: Memorial trust fund created by the family of the late Paul C. Hays Jr. A scholarship will be awarded based on Christian character, scholarship and financial need. First preference will be given to pre-engineering majors. Second preference will be given to nursing majors. Scholarship may be renewable the following year if the recipient meets scholarship criteria. Recipients must be Peyton Jerome Burford Memorial Scholarship: A memorial trust fund established by the family of Peyton Jerome Burford. The amount of this award will be based on accrued interest. The recipient must be a resident of Ripley County. Selection will be based on academic standing and/or financial need. Preference will be given to a nursing student. Recipients must be Poplar Bluff Elks Lodge #2452: Scholarship will be awarded by the donor, in consultation with the area high school counselors. Scholarship may be renewed the second year if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA. Recipients must be Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union: Scholarship offered to current members of Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union. Preference will be given to sophomore students who have completed 30 college credit hours with a 2.5 GPA. Recipients must be enrolled 12 hours. Rex Couperus Memorial Scholarship: Proceeds from the Rex Couperus Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarded to students of educational promise who have financial need. Recipients must be Ruth E. Minetree Scholarship KB of PEO: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of grade average, character, and financial need with preference given to a traditional female from Poplar High School District. The scholarship may be renewable for the consecutive year if the recipient maintains a 2.5 GPA each semester. Recipient will be chosen by P.E.O. scholarship committee from applicants at the college. Recipients must be enrolled at least 6 hours each semester. College Achievement Scholarship: This scholarship is intended for recipients who have very little financial aid. First preference will be given to nontraditional students with academic promise. Second preference will be given to traditional students who have maintained at least a B average in high school. Recipients must be enrolled at least 6 hours.

3 Combined Scholarship (Memorials to Mary Carnahan, James Colson, James & Norma Hendrickson, Glenn Scott, H. Tudor Westover): Scholarship is awarded based on academic standing, financial need, and desire to excel in college. Recipient must be Tommy Parks Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded annually to single parent (male or female) who has financial need. Recipients must be enrolled at least 9 hours. Wylma Noll Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to high school graduates or GED recipients. Preference will be given to applicants who receive little or no pell grant or other financial assistance (excluding student loans). Recipients will be selected based on academic promise and financial need. Recipients must be enrolled 6 hours. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ALLIED HEALTH, NURSING/MEDICAL AARP Scholarship: See Scholarships for General Awards and Memorial Betty J. Waldrop: This scholarship will be awarded in the spring semester to a nursing student. A cumulative GPA of 3.25 is required. Award will be based on academic performance with consideration given to financial need. Carl Wiseman Education and Research Scholarship: A scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program based on academic promise and financial need. Carolyn Hansbrough Memorial Scholarship: Scholarships will be offered to nursing or science majors. The student should be a current high school graduate ranking in the top 25% of the graduating class or 21 composite score on the ACT. Recipient must be DeDe Lawson Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has been accepted into the nursing program and is a resident of Butler County. Recipient must be enrolled at least 6 hours. DG PEO Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in the health care field. Scholarship will be awarded based on need. Recipient must be enrolled 12 hours. Dr. Arthur T. Tuma Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to students in the nursing or allied health services. Scholarship will be awarded based on financial need and academic merit. Recipient must be enrolled 12 hours. Dr. David V. Miller Nursing Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded in the spring semester (if interest allows) with preference given to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center employees who have been accepted into the nursing program. Gertrude Cox Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded with first preference given to non-traditional student who has reentered the education field and has financial need majoring in nursing or med lab. Recipient must be Institute for Community Health Education (I.C.H.E.) Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a traditional or non-traditional student who is majoring in the health care field who is not eligible for pell funding. Student must be Louise Spradling Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established by Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in memory of Louise Spradling. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is employed by Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and formally accepted into the Nursing Program. Recipient must be enrolled at least 6 hours. Mary Phyfer Scholarship: Scholarship awarded for students who have been accepted into the nursing program. Awards will be based on financial need. Students with little or no financial aid (excluding student loans) are encouraged to apply. Recipients must be enrolled 9 hours. (Special scholarship application required with donor). Myra Cason Hays Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of Christian character, scholarship and financial need. Preference will be given to a student in the nursing program. Recipient must be Orville & Thelma McManus Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a nursing student who is a resident of Ripley County. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic ability and financial need. Recipients must be enrolled 6 hours. Peyton Jerome Burford Memorial Scholarship: See General Awards and P.I. Church Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a nursing or pre-nursing student based on academic excellence, character, and financial need. Preference will be given to a Butler County resident. Recipient must be Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a PBRMC employee pursuing a career in the health care field. Selection of recipients will be made on academic criteria as well as financial need. Rose Abbott Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a nursing student who has financial need. Preference will be given to a Ripley County Resident. Recipient must be Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center ICU Nurse s Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore nursing student with a 2.5 cumulative GPA based on need and ability with preference given to a Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center ICU employee. Recipient must be enrolled at least 6 hours. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AGRICULTURE MAJORS Allen Garner Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a student who is agriculture major or agriculture related program. Recipient must be Butler County Co-Op Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to residents of Butler County who are in agriculture related fields. Recipients must be Don Metz Memorial Agriculture Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a student who is majoring in agriculture. Recipient must be resident of Butler County with preference given to a Neelyville resident. Recipient will be selected based on qualifications and financial need. Recipient must be Agriculture Scholarship: See Academic SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BUSINESS MAJORS Arnold Duncan Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore student majoring in Business Administration with preference given to a Poplar Bluff High School graduate. Recipient must have completed at least 28 credit hours with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Recipient must be Bill Vinson Business Management Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in Business Management. Student may apply after completing 12 credit hours in Business Management. Recipient must be Brent B. Tinnin & Nelson B. Tinnin Memorial: Scholarship will be awarded to sophomore student at Three Rivers with a 3.0 gpa at the rate of in-district tuition. Charles T. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore who is majoring in Business Administration. Recipient must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Recipient must be Leonard Query Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to an indistrict sophomore student in the field of Marketing and Sales. Student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Recipients must be enrolled full Norman Gamblin Business Administration Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a Butler County resident who is t majoring in Business Administration with at least a 3.5 GPA. Recipient must be enrolled full SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BUTLER COUNTY RESIDENTS Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship: See Scholarships for Education Majors. Belle Henrichs Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded with first preference given to students who reside in East Poplar Bluff. Second preference will be given to students in Butler County who plan to major in Forestry. Students who meet the above criteria and who do not receive pell or A+ or other financial aid are encouraged to apply. Recipients will be selected based on academic standing, character, leadership and financial need. Recipient must be Butler County Co-Op Scholarship: See Scholarships for Agriculture. DeDe Lawson Memorial Scholarship: See Allied Health, Nursing/Medical Don Metz Memorial Scholarship: See Scholarships for Agriculture. Mary D. Recipient must be Montgomery Foundation Scholarship: Scholarship awarded to students from Doniphan High School. Candidates must have a B average and possess the talent and strong desire for a college education. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EAST CARTER GRADUATES Bank of Grandin: Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from East Carter High School. Applicant must have a C average and financial need. High School Counselor will make recommendation. Recipients must be enrolled 12 hours. Grandin Chapter #519 Order of Eastern Star: Scholarship awarded to a current graduate from East Carter High School. John Thomas Randazzo Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from East Carter High School. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic promise and financial need. Recipient must be SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EDUCATION MAJORS Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in education. Preference will be given to children or relatives of the PB Alpha Delta Kappa Chapter with preference given to female residents of Poplar Bluff or Butler County. Recipients must be Dean Mabel Swindel Memorial Scholarship: See Scholarships for Women. Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship: Scholarship awarded with preference given to a sophomore female resident of the Three Rivers College district who is majoring in education. Scholarship will be awarded based on character, attitude and academic ability. Harry & Ida Blue Memorial Education Scholarship: See Scholarships for Poplar Bluff High School. Monday Study Club Blanche Pearson Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship awarded for an education major who is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School who is in need for financial assistance. Carl & Grace Bulow Memorial Scholarship: See Scholarships for Poplar Bluff High School. Charlotte Stone Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to selected graduates of Neelyville High School. Preference will be given to a student majoring in education. Recipient must plan on completing a 4 year degree. Selection will be based upon Christian character, scholarship, and financial need. Recipient must be Fred M. Morrow: Scholarship will be awarded based on financial need and scholastic ability. First preference will be given to an education major that resides in district. Joe Hillis Education Scholarship (sponsored by First Missouri State Bank): Scholarship awarded to traditional student from Twin Rivers or Neelyville High School who is majoring in education. Miles C. Hays Scholarship: See Scholarships for Business Majors. Myrtle W. Corbett Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to deserving students majoring in elementary or secondary education. Recipients must be Poplar Bluff Alpha Delta Kappa Alpha Beta Chapter Scholarship: Thelma Stroud Jackson Memorial Scholarship: See Scholarships for Twin Rivers High School. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GREENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES William D. Becker Memorial Scholarship: See Scholarships for Residents of Wayne County. Dr. & Mrs. James L. Faries Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to residents of Williamsville. Students who receive no other financial aid (excluding student loans) are encouraged to apply. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT MAJORS Kim Mosley Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship will be awarded to students majoring in Law Enforcement. First preference will be given to female law enforcement major, employees of Poplar Bluff Police Department or Butler County Sheriff Department. Recipient must be Three Rivers College Advisory Board James Kimbrow Scholarship: Scholarship awarded to student majoring in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of 12 credit hours with at least a 2.5 gpa. Scholarship will be awarded based on moral character and community standing.
