Clay Electric Cooperative April 1, $1,000 awards This program is limited to any public, private or home schooled high school senior whose home is served by Clay Electric and who will be graduating from high school at the end of the current school year (2015). An application can be picked from Mrs. Mazzurco in the guidance office. Elks Legacy Award Jan. 30, 2015 (by noon Central time) $4,000 / $1,000 each year for four years) For the current 2015 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2012, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2012, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through. Great-grandchildren are not eligible. Applicant must be a high school senior, must apply online only. Florida Institute of Public Accountants Mid-Florida Chapter THREE varying amounts Applicants for this must be majoring in accounting or related field from a college or university they choose; applicants must demonstrate a commitment to become an accountant; official transcript required. Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution Ocala Chapter Two - $500 awards This is available to any student attending college in August or September 2015; must be a resident of Marion County; submit a transcript, two letters of recommendation and a letter from the applicant. Grand Lodge of Florida Order Sons of Italy In America Florida Foundation Applicant must be of Italian descent and a resident of the State of Florida or Georgia; must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (unweighted); must have a minimum SAT total score of 1100 or must have an ACT Composite score of 23; must be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited junior college, college or university and must enroll immediately following graduation from a high school in the state of Florida or Georgia. Funds will be sent directly to the Bursar or Financial Aid office of the institution that the student will be enrolled in.

Martin Luther King Commemorative April 15, 2015 To Be Announced Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA; must write an essay of "why you should be the recipient of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Commissions as related to your educational and career goals; must complete and mail the application to the address on the application. An official transcript (sealed) must accompany the application; must have applied to a college or university within the state of Florida; Milling Foundation Loans for March 20, 2015 Must be a 2015 high school graduate; attending the University of Florida for summer or fall term; parent financial information will be required to apply for this loan. Niko Malidelis Fire College April 17, 2015 One -$300 Graduating senior who will become a fireman; demonstrate financial need and initiative; must write a 300 words or less essay on "Why You Want To Become a Fireman"? Kemble Memorial April 1, 2015 One - Two $500 awards Must be a Marion County high school senior in public, private or home school; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 demonstrated by an official high school transcript; must be entering college in the fall of 2015 and majoring or minoring in instrumental music; must submit two letters of recommendation, including at least one from their band director, orchestra director, or music teacher. Papa Johns Two - $750 awards Write an essay; 3.0 GPA; graduate of BHS, FHS, LWHS, VHS or WPHS; may be used at any accredited 4 year college or 2 year community/state college. Pioneer Garden Club April 15, 2015 Two - $500 Awards Must complete an application form, submit a 3x5 photograph of applicant (head/shoulder picture); official transcript of high school work, a letter from the applicant discussing background, goals and interest; letters of recommendation from at least one instructor in applicant's high school and at least one civic or religious leader in the community. Rotary Club of Ocala -Silver Springs April 19, 2015 Five - $1,000 s Must be a resident of Marion County, enrolled in a public or private high school in Marion County, maintained a grade point average of "B: or better through their junior and senior year to date; provide evidence that they have been accepted for enrollment or pre-accepted; word essay that describes what "Service Above Self" means to you; official transcript; be prepared to talk about your essay to a panel of judges. This process will begin on January 1, Must be completed prior to their high school graduation date. *Please note: when your student has chosen their college or university, they must log back into there Florida Bright Futures account via this website and make sure that their chosen institution is the only one listed so that their award will go to the correct financial aid office. 2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website: ** ** (this online application must be completed if your student plans on receiving s, grants, student loans, other financial aid, etc.). Parent/guardian's income tax information is required to complete this process. 3. Federal Student Aid website: studentloans.gov - *if your student qualifies for a Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized federal student loan (based on student's FAFSA results), the student must complete the following via the website stated above. (1) loan counseling and (2) the Master Promissory Note so that their school of choice will know how to disperse their loan money.
