2 What is College Credit Plus? CCP offers qualified students the opportunity to enroll in Lakeland courses and earn college credit which will also be used to fulfill their high school graduation requirements.

4 All secondary college credit opportunities are not the same Advanced Placement requires a third-party assessment, a score of 3 or above for guaranteed USO credit upon enrollment in a USO institution. Articulated Credit is not recognized on a student s college transcript until the student subsequently enrolls in a college that is authorized to confer the particular credit. Transcripted Credit is recognized on the student s college transcript upon successful completion of the college course. The high school student is enrolled at the college at the time the student is taking the college course.

7 How much does CCP cost?- Option A Student (families) pay for the tuition, books and fees. There may be different limits for private school students Option B First 30 credit hours per eligible student that is taken during the regular academic year is free (not to exceed 120 credits during high school

8 Funding Alternatives for Private and Home School Students Self Pay - payment is made by the family for all tuition & books (Option A) Apply for funding (Option B) - Declare intent to participate to the state no later than April 1. Apply for funding through the Ohio Department of Education. Paperwork should be available in early April. Must be submitted to ODE deadline yet to be determined. (Option B).

14 Math at Lakeland ONLY students who have COMPLETED Algebra 2 and test into Math 1650 are eligible for Math courses at LCC (Lake Catholic- Alg I, Alg II and Geometry) Students who do not test into college-level math, but test in college-level English will be permitted to enroll into any non-math course that does not have a prerequisite.

28 How to Participate and Register by the End of the School Year Step 1: Attend a high school CCP information session. Step 2: Complete a CCP interest form online and submit letter or intent to the State by April 1. Step 3: File a CCP application (including transcripts) with Lakeland Community College no later than April 1 st.
