7 10GBASE-T: IEEE 802.3an IEEE 802.3an: Link segment transmission parameters A link segment consisting of up to 100 m of Class E that meets the transmission parameters of this subclause provides a reliable medium nominal impedance delay parameters The transmission parameters of the link segment include insertion loss ELFEXT NEXT loss (NEXT) MDNEXT loss (PSNEXT) return loss extended to 500 MHz by extrapolating the formulas with appropriate adjustments for length when applicable as specified in: ISO/IEC TR-24750; TIA/EIA TSB-155; EN extended to 500 MHz by utilizing the equations referenced in: ISO/IEC TR-24750; TIA/EIA TSB-155; EN Requirements for the alien crosstalk (AXT) coupled between link segments: ISO/IEC TR-24750, TIA/EIA TSB-155, EN A link segment consisting of up to 100 m of Class F

14 Mitigation Techniques the number of connections involving connecting hardware with high coupling; including screened connectors that are not individually screened; screened connecting hardware with poor transfer impedance; the performance, length and dressing of equipment cords.
