To qualify and ensure the success of all students with a focus on special needs and at-risk Support the implementation process for the Work-Oriented Training Path (WOTP) training and accompaniment by CSL, MELS and other sources Implementation of the CSL EHDAA Policy with emphasis on early intervention, referral, consistent monitoring and accompaniment of students Access to training activities targeting changes to pedagogical practices (on-line, McGill-CEL, Centers of Excellence and other) Revision of evaluation and teaching practices to include differentiation 2. Monitor student development in reading and math Ensure integration as a priority in all local School Success plans Close follow-up of student results Access to ongoing professional development opportunities 3. Promotion of the French language (mother tongue and second language) Hiring of French teaching staff for Mutton Bay and Kegaska Accompaniment of teachers (progression of learning, FLE, FSL and evaluation) Support through use of complementary programs such as AIM and Tell Me More Promote and support programs (Bonne Espérance), projects and linguistic exchange opportunities Promote and participate in activities organized within the framework of the MELS Action Plan on Reading 4. Training and support on career goals and orientations (GOAL) Guidance Oriented Approach to Learning Promote the GOAL approach in all schools GOAL training and tour in August-September 2013 Continue to support teachers with the implementation of POP programs Promotion of entrepreneurship programs and accompanying activities, in collaboration with Adult Education Ensuring services and accompaniment for the Adult student population 6

10 The mission of the Commission scolaire du Littoral, based on the principle of equity, is to continually support its schools and centres in their efforts to enable students to reach their full potential. The Commission scolaire du Littoral aims and will continue to aim at contributing to the development of competent, responsible and autonomous citizens who will, in turn, contribute to the development and sustainability of the communities of the Lower North Shore and Anticosti Island.
