12 Personal data protection act Russian Federation The Federal Law No.152-FZ on Personal Data (as amended by Federal law No.242-FZ) came into force on the 1st of September Every company, involved in collecting, processing and storing personal date of Russian citizens must comply with the rules & regulations of the law. Most important condition of this law: Collected personal data of Russian citizens must be stored, initially at a data-center which physically is located inside the Russian Federation.
