2 RESEARCH Research interests include gerontology, social support and relationships within the social networks, reciprocity, and Aging in Place initiatives pres 2015-pres Principal Investigator, Social Experiences in Assisted Living A qualitative study of friendships, negative interactions, and social environment of residents in an assisted living facility. Consists of semi-structured interviews with residents and employees and thematic analysis of transcripts. Co-investigator, A Problem Solving Tools Intervention for Postpartum Depression A mixed method study of motivational interviewing and problem solving depression in mothers with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and symptoms of postpartum depression. PI: McClain Sampson Visiting Professional, Young Men s Affiliation Project of HIV Risk and Prevention Venues. At the University of Texas-School of Public Health, conducted interviews including collection of social network data, produced personalized social network analysis reports for participating venues, recruited new participants, participated in team meetings.
