4 Electrical Engineering School and ACCESS Center Most of the Embedded System research of the Electrical Engineering School is conducted within the ACCESS Linnaeus Center [ACCESS] is the largest and leading research center in its field in Europe, being able to generate world-class research and being highly attractive for international recruitments and exchanges. 5 ACCESS Linnaeus Center ACCESS was established from a VR grant in 2006 Developed into one of Europe s largest university research centers in networked systems - 36 faculty, 20 postdocs, 100 PhD students - Basic funding from VR on 1.4 MEUR per year (+10%) - Total research budget 2010 over 12 MEUR Significant scientific results and new programs Graduate school with >40 graduated PhD s Faculty renewal and mobility programs Extensive international and industrial collaborations External communication and dissemination 5
