3 Project Scope The Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) has a Unified Communications and Infrastructure Surveillance program underway which encompasses: A turnkey VOIP phone system for two locations A complete digital paging system Weather and vandal-resistant 911 Emergency phones installed in the new Transit Center A CCTV surveillance system for two locations Cat is seeking proposals to provide each of the above systems CAT requires modern systems that enable the transit staff to support operational activities in a safe and effective manner. The proposed systems are expected to address key areas of concerns for CAT so that reliable communications, improved service delivery as well as effective and reliable security and surveillance can be achieved. 3

5 Project Scope. Continued Assume that all systems shall include every component necessary for full operations including all cabling connectors, servers, desktops, monitors and any other equipment necessary whether specifically mentioned on not in the RFP. Only exception is where the RFP states that CAT will provide cabling and/or power supply line to the equipment. Proposer is strongly encouraged to perform a site survey.
