A device connected to a control unit that monitors the fire extinguisher in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. Panel must indicate 3 distinct signals 5.14 Fire Extinguisher Monitoring Device. A fire extinguisher monitoring device shall indicate those conditions for a specific fire extinguisher required by NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, to a fire alarm control unit or other control unit.

For example, it is not acceptable to conduct an annual test in January of year one, and December of year two (23-month frequency) just because Table requires a test once each year.
