2 Special Lectures 2012 Employment Law and the New Workplace in the Social Media Age chairs Janice Rubin Rubin Thomlinson LLP Janice Rubin graduated from the University of Toronto having obtained her B.A. in political science and history. A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Janice was called to the Bar in Among other educational achievements, Janice graduated from Harvard Law School s basic and advanced negotiation programs, and CDR Associates mediation program. In 1993 Janice co-founded Rubin Thomlinson LLP with her partner Christine Thomlinson. RT is recognized as a leading employment law firm in Canada. Philip Wilson, CHRP, SHRP Vice-President Human Resources and Business Development (Eastern and Northern Region), Felix Global Corp. Philip Wilson gained twenty-five years of progressively responsible experience in the HR field. He has experience coaching executives and facilitating strategic planning. He provided Global Leadership as Vice President H.R. at Corel in his last role. As Senior Vice President of Shared Services, H.R. at CIBC Phil led a global team of HR professionals responsible for CIBC s Leadership & Training, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Global Recruitment Strategies, and Business Process Outsourcing. Phil sponsored the successful implementation of PeopleSoft across CIBC. He also headed the HR function of CIBC World Markets, Canada. In the August 2006 publication of HR Professional magazine Phil was selected as one of 5 Stars of HR Innovation in Canada.
