2 The Challenge Incidents of software audits are on the rise: Gartner survey of 228 procurement and ITAM professionals in September 2011, 65% indicated at least one audit in the past 12 months (up 35% from five years ago). Vendors are increasing the number of audits in an attempt to recover reduced (or lost) licensing revenue.
