5 Supply Chain Overview & Objective Overview For companies responsible for the movement of goods, today s operating environment present serious challenges from the standpoint of security, risk mitigation, asset management, and commodity visibility. 6 How We Work Together AIAG partnered with ECG and their leadership to establish the first set of industry damage codes and claims inspection management. ECG provided valuable guidance and intelligence to AIAG from the onset to establish our FVL program. To date, with the assistance of leading automotive OEM s and their suppliers, we have created: An operational handling manual for all FVL modes. Working on version 3 of the Damage Claims manual. Creating an FVL e-directory of services and FVL glossary of terms based on ECG publications.

7 Current FVL Supply Chain Initiatives Damage Claims Process (M-22) an AIAG and other like organizations effort to harmonize the damage claims process globally over the various modes of transportation. OEM Optimization (Co-Loading) for synergies in the supply chain and opportunities for collaboration. FVL Port Quality Assessment Tool to benchmark and quantify best practices within the maritime ports. epod (electronic Proof of Delivery) currently implementing at various levels of the logistics supply chain providing electronic notification of delivery real-time to a customer s visibility system. 7

8 AIAG epod Project Focus on epod OEMS asked to form a standard for epod in May Efforts are to standardize the formatting of epod not endorse any one system. Standards for: Process Mapping Business Requirements Data Requirements 8
