How this project came to be Why develop a school in Morocco?: Largest provider of foreign students in France Very good qualilty of Moroccan candidates Problems with visas or adusting Our industrial partners Couldn t find engineers in Morocco A A recrutement platform for Africa 2. How this project came to be The economic context A growing economy, a huge shortage of engineers especially in aerospace, automotive or offshore computer science, information systems The government s objective: By 2010: train engineers and technicians per year 4

5 2 - How this project came to be Why Casablanca? : Largest city & largest economic capital main industrial zone of the country 1st city for international and Morrocan headquarters & international companies 3 Description of the Project Objectives: Create a satellite campus of our French engineering school open in October engineering graduates per year. 5

6 3 Description of the Project Main partners: Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Casablanca General Council of Charente-Maritime Our French Industrial Partners located in Morocco 4. The different phases of the project December 2005: Feasibility study on site: strong interest in this project. Moroccan government and French & Moroccan companies 6

The different phases of the project December 2005: creation of EIGSICA Created as limited company and, 100% owned by EIGSI. full control of: training policy, criteria for admission of candidates recruitment of its teachers 4. The different phases of the project January 2006: Sylvain ORSAT appoints Youssef Ben El Mostafa, EIGSI research professor (Doctor UTC). Indepth understanding of our program dual French-Moroccan culture 7

8 4. The different phases of the project August 2006: The authorization of the Ministry of Higher Education Moroccan is granted October 2006: EIGSICA welcomes its first class of 16 students. 5. EIGSICA EIGSICA : EIGSI s Moroccan Satellite Campus in Both schools have the same: pedogical program teaching methods course evaluation Exams periods Evaluation juries Tools and website access 8

9 5. EIGSICA Study options: Complete the 2 year Master s s level degree in France for a Franco-Moroccan double degree : international experience 5 choices of specialisation. Complete the 2 year Master s s level degree in Casablanca for a Franco-Moroccan double degree : less cultural and financial stress 1-2 specialisations (civil engineering) open to French students 5.
