Hubei Provincial Government gives its priority to run the institution. China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation and Hubei Provincial Government are working together to boost the development of the university. Hubei Provincial Government and Ministry of Agriculture, China also have a special scheme to co-construct Yangtze University. Yangtze University is located in the famous ancient historic and cultural city of Jinzhou, China and it has a teaching and research campus in Wuhan city, the capital of Hubei province, China. Its campuses cover an area of 251 hectares with floor space of 1,456,000 square meters. Yangtze University has 2 post-doctor stations, 15 PhD programs, 128 master s programs and 94 undergraduate programs covering 11 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management and art. More than 1200 international students from 20 countries are studying in Yangtze University now. 1

2 About School of Petroleum Engineering, Yangtze University School of Petroleum Engineering, Yangtze University was established in The School has 5 departments: Department of Oil-Gas Well Engineering, Department of Oil and Gas Field Chemical Engineering, Department of Oil-Gas Field Development Engineering, Department of Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering and so on. The School has 76 faculty and staffs, including 22 professors,17 associate professors, 9 doctoral supervisors. There are 1840 undergraduates,259 postgraduates and 25 doctors in different departments. 5 About School of Agriculture, Yangtze University School of Agriculture, Yangtze University was established in 1977.The School has 3 departments: Department of Agriculture, Department of Seed Science and Engineering, Department of Plant Protection & Agricultural Resources and Environment. The School has 84 faculty and staff among which there are 56 full-time teachers, including 20 professors and 15 associate professors. 45 teachers are Ph.D. degree holders. There are 2 full-time Chutian program scholars, 3 specially invited Chutian program scholars, 1 part-time academician and 1 Hundred Talents Program scholar. 6 About School of Animal Science, Yangtze University School ofanimal Science, Yangtze University was established in 1985.The School has 3 departments: Department of Agriculture, Department of Seed Science and Engineering, Department of Plant Protection & Agricultural Resources and Environment. The school now has 44 full-time teachers, including 7 professors, 20 associated professors, 12 master student supervisors. Nearly 61.3% full-time teachers have senior professional titles. The college has 16 on-job Ph.D. candidates and 5 Ph.D. candidates. 7 School of Horticulture and Gardening School of Horticulture and Gardening, Yangtze University was established in 1985.The School has 2 departments: Department of Horticulture, and Department of Landscape. In 2012, the Ministry of Education released the latest appraisal of all the first-level disciplines and the landscape Architecture of the School ranked No. 7 in the nation. The landscape Architecture in First Level Disciplines is also the Cultivation of Hubei province key discipline. The School employs 48 full-time faculty members including 10 professors and 16 associate professors. Its full-time student body is about 1000, including postgraduates, undergraduate students. In the School, there is 1 discipline approved for Chutian Scholar positions, in which 1 Distinguished Professors, 3 chair professors and lecture professors are invited. The School has 105 faculty and staff, including 28 professors and 27 associate professors. 20 teachers are Ph.D. degree holders. There are more than 1600 undergraduates and 100 postgraduates in different departments. The School has 96 faculty and staff among which there are 75 full-time teachers, including 18 professors,21 associate professors, 6 doctoral supervisors and 17 master's supervisors. 10 In 2015, Yangtze University is going to offer scholarships to seek applicants with exceptional ability and the motivation to succeed in the research-oriented Ph.D. degree and Master s degree programs. The applicants from universities and colleges are preferential. The scholarship for above programs includes free tuition and free accommodation. Eligible students will pay the following fees: 1. Application and registration fee: CNY Residence permit: CNY 500 per year 3. Physical Exam: CNY Medical insurance: CNY 700 per year 5. Deposit for textbooks: CNY 500 Total: CNY 2800 USD 470 They are responsible for their travel, meals and other accidental expenses. Checklist of documents 1. Government's system only accepts JPG and Word format documents, because the government will check all electronical documents online. 10

11 Admission Procedure The application for admission will be reviewed soon after all documents are received. The results of the applications will be informed via within 2 weeks after the required documents are checked by the supervisor. When applicants are accepted, the International Office, Yangtze University will process and send the applicants the following visa papers. a. Yangtze University Admission Notice b. Foreign Students Application Forms for Entry Visa to China (JW 202 FORM) The admitted students should hold the Admission Notice, JW 202 Forms and other documents for entry visas to Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their countries. Registration When arriving at Yangtze University, the students must submit: a. Admission Notice b. JW 202 Form c. Passport d. 12 photos e. Original transcripts and certificates All required fees should be paid on time. The students will be taken to receive physical examination at designated organization usually within the first week after their arrival. With the official certificate of health issued by the designated organization, the students will be led to apply for residence permit at Public Security Bureau.
