1 How to Register and Pay Online for Senior Adult Education Programs (SAE) Students can register and pay online for Encore Campus and Neighborhood Scholars programs. Payment is required at the time of registration in the form of a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or electronic check. To register and pay online you will need your student ID (S#) and PIN (not Password). If you do not know your student ID and/or PIN, contact the help desk at Please Note: If you register for the SAE classes online, you must complete the payment process online at this time or you will be dropped from your classes. If you register and pay for spring session one and spring session two on the same day, you must use a different credit card for each session. You can use the same credit card for both sessions if you register on different days. You will need Flash installed on your computer to use the online register and pay system. If you wish to take more than one SAE program, you must sign in, register, and pay for each one separately. To access the online register and pay sites, click on the appropriate link below Encore Campus - East Encore Campus West Scholarly Bites Neighborhood Scholars Each Encore class has a $0 fee listed online. The cost of the Encore Campus (amount listed above) will be charged after you select your classes and click Register. 2 This is the home page for the Register and Pay site. Please review the title to ensure that you are on the correct site. If your screen does not look like the above, you may need to download an upgraded version of Flash. A message and link will appear on the page to take you to the secure website to install the upgrade. If you wish to take Encore Campus classes at more than one location, you must sign in, register, and pay for each separately. To streamline the online registration and pay process, review the online schedule or schedule book you receive in the mail and select your first choice and second choice classes for each hour. 3 Students who have previously taken classes at Tri-C have a Tri-C ID (S#). Type your S# and PIN in the fields in the Sign In box on the right side of the page and click Sign In. If you do not know your S# or PIN, contact the Help Desk at If you do not have a Tri-C ID (S#), you will be able to submit your personal data and create one after you build your schedule. 4 To search by CRN, type the CRN in the Search box, then click the magnifying glass. (To see all courses, leave the Search box blank and click on the magnifying glass.) 5 How to Read a Class Listing Class Title Campus Day (Friday) Start Time-End Time Number of Available Seats Start and End Dates Even though Fees shows $0 for the Encore sessions, there is a charge for the program. You will see the program fee when you check out. Note: If Seats = 0, the class is full and you will not be able to register for it. Mouse over a class listing until you see in the bottom right corner. Click the magnifying glass to See Course Details for this class Click Meeting times to see the days, dates, times, campus Click Close to close this box and return to the main screen. 6 How to Add Classes to the Calendar/Schedule There are two options to add a class to the calendar/schedule. After you identify which classes you want to register for, perform one of the following steps. 1. Mouse over the class listing in the Search Results on the left, then click on the plus sign 2. Mouse over the class listing, click on the magnifying glass to open the Course Details box, then click on the Add button. 7 After you add classes to the schedule, they will appear in the calendar in the Friday column for the hour in which they are scheduled. To view the course details, To remove the class from the calendar, click on the magnifying glass. click on the X. How to Register and Pay Online for Encore Campus Classes (11/17/11) Page 7 of 22
8 Pay close attention to the start and end times for each class. If you choose classes that overlap in times and create a conflict, you will see the box outlined in red and Conflict in the schedule during the time period that is double-booked. Click on Conflict to open a box that lists the conflicting classes. Click on Remove to delete the class you do not want. 9 Once you have added all of your classes to the schedule and there are no conflicts, click the Register button in the lower right corner. How to Register and Pay Online for Encore Campus Classes (11/17/11) Page 9 of 22
10 If you are a new student and not already signed in, a new box opens. Click Create New Account. See next page for New Account directions. If you are already signed in, skip to page 13. How to Register and Pay Online for Encore Campus Classes (11/17/11) Page 10 of 22
11 New Account Directions Your Social Security Number (SSN/SIN/TIN) is required to create a new account. We need this information to uniquely identify you, ensuring that your record is not duplicated or comingled with other records in our database. Complete all fields (* indicates required, the rest are optional). Be sure to scroll down to see all fields. Do not enter dashes in the SSN or telephone number fields. Enter the Security code you see in the blue field here. Click Submit. How to Register and Pay Online for Encore Campus Classes (11/17/11) Page 11 of 22
12 The system will be searched to determine if you already have a record. If an exact or similar record is found, you will receive a Caution warning and will not be able to create an account here. Contact the Help Desk at for assistance. If the system does not find an exact or similar record, a new record will be created. A box will appear listing your Tri-C ID (S#) and PIN. Record this information in a safe place. You will need your Tri-C ID (S#) and PIN to log in to pay and register online again and to log into My Tri-C Space. 13 A list of the classes you registered for will appear. You can cancel your registration by clicking the Cancel registration button and return to the calendar to choose other classes. Note that each class fee is $0, but the appropriate Encore Campus fee is charged. If your schedule is accurate, click the Proceed to payment button. If you choose to proceed, you must complete the payment process online at this time or you will be dropped from your classes. 15 After you click on Proceed to payment, you will be given another Registration Summary. You can again choose to Cancel the registration or Proceed to payment. If you choose to proceed, you must complete the payment process online at this time or you will be dropped from your classes. 16 This payment screen contains a message that you will be taken to a secure, external payment site. To continue, click Submit payment. If you choose to proceed, you must complete the payment process online at this time or you will be dropped from your classes. 17 Another box opens with a note about going to an external payment site. This is a secure site. Be sure to complete the process before closing the window. To proceed, click Yes. If you choose to proceed, you must complete the payment process online at this time or you will be dropped from your classes. 19 Read the Terms and Conditions. Click I ACCEPT to complete the payment processing. After the payment is processed, the payment window will close and take you back to the online register and pay site where a receipt showing all classes, the program charge, and your payment. 20 Print this receipt for your records. Use the scroll bar to see all information on your screen. 21 The registration and payment process has now ended. You can search for more courses to add to your schedule at this time. Or, you can click Sign Out to log off the system. 22 How to view your schedule on my Tri-C space You will also find other academic and personal information, important dates and event announcements on my Tri-C space. Returning Students 1. Enter your User Name. This is the S# that appears on the front of you re my Tri-C Card. 2. Enter your password. This is your current Technology Learning Center (TLC) password. If you have forgotten your password, go to one of the following: Forgot Your Password? Change Your Password Initial Login Instructions for New Students 1. Go to (Please read instructions carefully) 2. Click on Change Your Password in the middle of the page. 3. Enter your Tri-C ID, your S-number, and click Continue. 4. Enter your Old Password your date of birth formatted as m/d/yyyy. (Include the slashes do not use leading zeros.) 5. Create a new password with at least eight characters, including letters and numbers. 6. Verify the new password and click Change. 7. You will be returned to the login page. Enter your Tri-C ID number and your new password. To view your schedule, click My Info, scroll down to the Registration box, then click on My Term Schedule.
