If you participate in multiple accounts on Gust, you can access the different deal lists in two ways: 1. From the top navigation bar - Move your mouse over the organization names in your top navigation bar and click the organization you want to view. Next, click the Deal List button to the right, which will load the deal list for that organization. 2. From your dashboard page Click on Dashboard from the top navigation bar. 6 D. How do I navigate the Deal List? The following image reflects a sample Deal List, which we can examine in different sections: 1. The Search Bar By entering key words or company names, you can narrow your deal list to show only those companies that match your search criteria. *Note: In order to view the entire list of companies in your Deal List, you will need to clear the search bar. 2. States and Stages Your organization s deal list can be organized and managed according to your specific process. At the highest level, all deals in your Deal List are classified according to their state: Active, Completed, or Inactive. Within each state, your organization may have defined stages to further organize deals. If you click on one of the 3 main states, the screen below will display all the stages within that state. In the image above, you can see that there is an All stage to show all applications in that state. If you click on a specific stage, such as Due Diligence, the list will display only the deals in that stage. 3. Adding a New Deal Directly By clicking on the +Add New Deal button, you can enter a company to your deal list manually. Gust will first prompt you to provide basic information to add the deal. 6

Once the company is added, you will be brought to the deal room where you can add more content. Note: If you add a new deal yourself, you can also invite the entrepreneur to collaborate and provide more details about their company. In order to initiate this, click the +Invite the Entrepreneur to Collaborate link under the Status section of the Deal Overview. You will be prompted to input the address of the entrepreneur in order to invite him/her to engage in the application process. 4. Sorting columns The column headings on the deal list will display relevant information about each company. By clicking the column heading, the deal list will be sorted by that particular column. 5. Examining a Company on Gust To examine a company in your deal list, simply click on the company name. You will then enter the Deal Room of that company. 7

IV. The Deal Room A. What is the Deal Room? The deal room contains all of the content that the applicant submitted to your organization. The deal room also helps your organization collaborate on a deal by providing a dedicated space for the sharing of information. B. How do you navigate the Deal Room? 9 You can also scroll through various deals in a particular stage using the arrows in the top right. The middle button will take you back to the deal list. If you scroll down the page of the Deal Room, you can view other sections, including Participants, Ratings & Reviews, Application One-Pager, Documents, and Discussions. C. What are the different sections of the Deal Room? 1. Company Details This section contains basic details about the company, submitted by the entrepreneur or entered directly by your organization. The content in this frame will change to reflect the section you have highlighted from the navigation ribbon, i.e. Overview, Business Details, Financing, Documents, or Company Profile. In this section, you can also: a. What is the Participants section of the Deal Room? In the Deal Room, this section identifies all the individuals and syndicate partners who have expressed interest in the deal. Access can be granted or withdrawn by the organization s administrator or the deal lead for that specific deal. The table displays the interest levels and amounts expressed by each participant. b. Why can t I see participants interest levels or committed amounts? You may not be able to see this information if 1) the participant hasn t entered the details, 2) the participant has elected not to share the information with the deal participants, or 3) the organization s admin has hidden the information from view. 3. Syndication a. How are other investor groups listed in this section? The group administrator or the deal lead has the ability to invite other investor groups on Gust to syndicate the deal. These groups will be listed here and in the chart above if they begin to observe a deal. 10

b. Can our group withdraw from a syndicate? Yes, the group administrator or the deal lead can withdraw your investor group from a syndicate. c. What information is shared between groups in the syndicate? Groups can view the entrepreneur s application and any documents shared by the entrepreneur. In each group s respective Deal Room, investors can see the aggregate amounts considered/committed/invested by another group in the syndicate. Discussions, documents, and ratings entered by one investor group are not currently shared with the other groups. 4. Ratings & Reviews a. What are ratings? The Ratings section enables individual deal participants to enter an evaluation of the deal, using categories that are defined by the organization s administrator. Ratings are private to deal participants and are not shared with the entrepreneur. b. How do I rate a deal or edit a rating I previously entered? By clicking the +Add Rating button, you can add or edit your rating of that particular deal. Use your mouse to move over half or full stars on the scale. You can also enter commentary to support your evaluation. 11

c. Why can t I rate the deal? Why can t I see others ratings? Some organizations may wish to restrict the entering or sharing of ratings. The organization s administrator manages these settings. 5. Application a. What is the Application One-Pager? If the entrepreneur applied to your group directly, this section displays his/her responses to the questions on your application. If a participant in your organization created the deal directly, the application will display the deal details he/she provided. Click View to see the application. b. What happens if I click Message the Entrepreneur? This button gives you an easy way to contact the entrepreneur for additional information or clarity regarding the application. This will create a private conversation between you and the entrepreneur. c. How can I print/save the application? By clicking the printer icon, you can generate a one-page, formatted document that will contain the basic information about the company and the application answers. You can easily print this page or save it as a PDF document. 6. Documents a. What is included in the Documents section? The Documents section is divided into two tabs: 1) Entrepreneur Documents, where deal participants can view the documents supplied by the entrepreneur. 2) Investor Documents, where deal participants can upload and share documents related to the deal. Note that these documents are not accessible to the entrepreneur. b. How can I upload a document? Anyone with access to the deal can add a document to this space by clicking View All > Investor Documents > +Add Document. c. How do I delete a document? 12

Only the organization s administrator or the deal lead can delete a document. d. How can I add folders to organize documents?
