Klickitat County 4-H has sent a challenge out to all 4-H programs in Washington State! Moved by the recent weather tragedies buffeting the mid-west and south, Klickitat County is hosting a Dog Walk on June 4 th with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross for relief to flood/tornado victims. Here is what organizer 4-H member Mikaylee has to say: What we were thinking about was having a rate of $10 dollars per individual who would like to walk, and $25 for a family. What we are doing in Goldendale is meeting at a central location at 10 am and walking the streets to collect money from businesses that would like to donate. Of course, each county can do what works for them. We just want to help the poor people who continue to be hit by natural disasters. Thanks for sending out the information to the counties. We appreciate it. So community spirit minded 4-H ers rise to Klickitat County s challenge! Area Demonstrations: Area II Demonstration Day will be held on June 15, from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at the George Community Hall. Contact: Jeannie Kiehn at Area III will have a demonstration night for all Area 3 (Moses Lake) members on Monday June 27, Call Ronda, for information.
