2 INTRODUCTION VOLUME 4.0 Out-of-home advertising is a cost-efficient medium with an extraordinary reach. Whether used along with other media forms like television and radio, or by itself, its impact is undeniable, and its design limitations are defined only by the imagination of those who create for it. An understanding of the details of print production, as applied to outdoor media is critical. No matter how good an idea is, the practical matter of making sure the copy is prepared correctly to the correct size, with adequate image resolution, on the appropriate substrate is necessary for its success. This Production Handbook has been designed to introduce graphic designers and art directors to the range and diversity of Outfront s media forms; and to assist in their understanding the copy and print specifications necessary to produce copy that can be posted on the various out-of-home media site types. Wherever possible, has endeavored to create national specifications for its media forms; however some media forms are unique to certain markets. Please confirm specifications with your account executive prior to printing to insure accuracy. While it is possible to buy printing directly through Outfront Media s own Production Group, many clients choose to produce copy using their own printer. This book provides guidelines printers can use to understand which materials must be used, and the timeframe in which the copy must be delivered in order to be posted in time. Whether you choose to use our production facilities, or decide to handle the printing on your own, we are at your service. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help!

Each section having an overlap of one inch, right over left. Overlap areas must be unprinted and unvarnished. Registration marks must be clearly printed in top and bottom margins. Stock must have sufficient weight, tensile strength and opacity to prevent show-through of previous poster copy. Paper must also be sufficiently porous to allow for adhesion, and should be free of agents or materials which would preclude posting. Posting will be performed by Outfront Medfia employees using Formetco 1030, starch base, or equivalent. Document Trim - 5 H x 11 W Overage: 100% overage required for every month of posting.
