1 15 GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE 19 AUGUST ANNUAL REPORT ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURES AND ELECTED MEMBER TRAVEL AS AT 30 JUNE 2015 Katrina Gresser 17/49/9-06 # RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that Council notes the Annual Report Additional Disclosures and Elected Member Travel for the period 1 July 2014 to 30 June EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This quarterly report is presented to Council for noting and outlines expenditure incurred by Council during the period 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2015 for Elected Members travel, overseas travel and grants paid to community organisations. In summary: Expenditure on grants to community organisations totalled $5,948,126 Sponsorship contributions totalled $12 Donations totalled $25,500 Travel expenditure for elected members totalled $63,747 Overseas travel expenditure for the mayor totalled $23,508 BACKGROUND: Chapter 5, Part 3 of the Local Government Regulation 2012 specifies the contents of Council s Annual Report. Council has previously resolved to provide this information on a quarterly basis. It is considered good practice to continue this disclosure so that Council is periodically updated on these costs. COMMENT: This quarterly report is presented to Council for noting and outlines expenditure incurred during the period 1 July 2014 to 30 June Note that this data is preliminary and subject to final review and audit.
