4 The magnificent Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci sets the stage for a wide variety of business focused activities such as the Dutch Dialogues, expert meetings, roundtables, seminars, business matching and dinners. Dutch companies and knowledge institutions will participate extensively on the WorldExpo and an exhibition hosted in collaboration with Museon, the Dutch science museum, will highlight the Dutch food industry s accomplishments.

9 Expert meeting: Food Security for sustainable Food Safety The expert meeting Food Security for sustainable Food Safety deals with the challenges of the rapidly urbanizing world to keep food production and distribution systems efficient, while sustaining standards. Defective systems result in suboptimal performance levels and losses in both economic and nutritional value. The expert meeting will share and discuss the deployment of different methodologies to manage food quality and food security, including source identification and traceability. Integrated agro-logistics concepts (post-harvest management) are the backbone of good performing (inter-) national agro-food chains and enable the agro & food sector to provide good quality and safe food products in a cost-effective and resource sustainable way. Program The expert meeting is a full day program, highly interactive and will analyze food security and food safety issues from different perspectives, aiming to stipulate solutions to participant s specific situation. In the rapidly urbanizing world our daily food supply is becoming increasingly dependent on production and distribution systems that need to be optimal from both economic value as well as nutritional value. There is a need for new business models based on strategic market analysis, infrastructure, connectivity, institutional and regulatory frameworks, technology, knowledge dissemination, open innovation and incubation of startups. Program The master class is a one-day program, based on action-learning and consists of two parts: Part 1: Introduction & concepts Dag 2: The WorldExpo role and dag impact of food, planet, energy and life on global developments; Transitions and new macro-economic models; Global value chains; The approach of participant s organizations towards globalization and glocalization. 11 Expert Meeting Healthy Aging Healthy Aging: Valuable Senior Members of Society deals with concepts and formulas to reposition the role and function of the growing number of elderly people worldwide. There is a need to revise our views on elderly people and to develop concepts to keep engaging them into the society as valuable resources rather than problems. These perspectives challenge us to approach (inactive) elderly people with effective and efficient revitalization concepts, enabling them to stay engaged as active citizens and stay valuable for economies and societies. Program The expert meeting is a full day program, highly interactive and will analyze the aging process and resulting challenges from different perspectives. The aim is to stipulate solutions integrating prevention, mobility, infrastructure and healthcare for active participation in the society. Dag 2: WorldExpo dag Part 1: Concepts and methodological approaches Sustainable activism of elderly people; Therapeutic climate, the so-called healing environment; Sustainable rehabilitation concepts; The approach of participant s organizations towards elderly people (tailored). Lunch Part 2: Case: Putting concepts into revitalization care Participants will work in small groups to combine the introduced concepts during part 1, shared values related to supporting elderly people and their daily health care operations. The expert meeting will be concluded with general concepts and experiences in the revitalization of elderly people taking into account location-specific conditions, discussions, and reflections.
