SICMA got specialized in aircraft seat manufacturing in 1960: economy, business & first classes. SICMA joined Zodiac Aerospace in SICMA Aero Seat becomes Zodiac Seats France in In 2011/12, Zodiac Seats branch is created to generate synergies & integrations (package solutions). Innovating for more safety Anti-Crash criteria increased to 16g vs. 9g in Zodiac Seats France has invested in a dynamic test bench. In 2005/06, awarded certifications ISO 9001 & EN In 2008, awarded certification ISO Zodiac Seats France Products evolution B/C seats were created in First generation was mechanical seats. In Economic class, the Dragonfly was the finalist at the Crystal Cabin Award in Skytrax reward For the 2012 edition Cathay Pacific has been selected as : The World s Best Business Class Airline ZSF is the seat manufacturer that equips this awarded business class cabin with Cirrus. At 2013 Skytrax World Airline Awards, Emirates was rewarded as the World s Best Airline. In addition, Emirates received the award of the Middle East Best Airline. Zodiac Seats France was awarded by Airbus for the most improved BFE customer support performance. In October 2014, Japan Airlines won GOOD DESIGN Best 100 for JAL SKY NEXT which is a new interior configuration with Dragonfly seats. Additionally, JAL received a GOOD DESIGN AWARDS this year, for new economy class Dragonfly seat itself in JAL SKY NEXT. We could win this prize thanks to all of Zodiac Seats France professional work. 27 A PULL PRODUCTION SYSTEM Economy Class 3 traditional Y/C assembly line 1 shipset 1 line 1 IAT line In March 2014, 1 automatized "moving line" (200 pax /day) Before Business Class 2 assembly lines for traditional B/C 2 semi-automatized business class seats assembly lines. 9 people work on these lines and the objective is 18 seats/day. To compare, a traditional line employs 12 operators to produce 9 seats/day.
