3 PacketTrap IT is a comprehensive and affordable network management and application monitoring solution. It solves the problems associated with bandwidth, network and application performance, and connectivity that are often constant, time-consuming issues for IT departments. PacketTrap IT supports multiple sites, is easier to use and more comprehensive than traditional network management products. New Feature Highlights for Version 6.0 Global Policy Management This feature provides global, mass monitoring and management configuration updates, as well as unique, single device overrides all through a single UI. The ability to configure once, apply to all dramatically reduces ongoing management and maintenance time for users. Individual device customization gives that flexibility required to meet the needs of special cases as no two devices perform the same way. Now network engineers can focus on revenue generating projects, not on configuring the monitoring solution. 4 Cisco Nexus and Virtual Infrastructure Monitoring PacketTrap IT provides out of the box monitoring support for Cisco Nexus switches and VMware ESX and ESXi for virtualized environments. Monitor, alert, and report on key Nexus switch statistics such as response times, packet loss, and other key varibles. Performance of virtualized enviornments is crirical, and PacketTrap IT does complete traffic analysis to idenitfy whuch users, applications and protocols are consuming the network bandwidth. PT IT automatically backs up Nexus configuration files and [provides proactive alert ntofications when devices changes have been made. This is essential in reducing network downtime. 5 Custom Dashboard Gadgets and Reports Users will be able to create custom reports and dashboard gadgets for most monitoring data in PacketTrap IT. The simple, wizard framework guides allows custom reports to be created in minutes. A custom report or gadget can be used across either area of the product, dramatically reducing configuration time. Users now have much more flexibility, and the ability to build impactful views and reports for themselves and other executive team members. 6 Deep Exchange 2010 Monitoring Migration to Exchange 2010 is occurring, and PacketTrap IT provides deep Exchange 2010 monitoring and auto remediation capabilities to ensure the application is running at optimal performance. Not only are specific Exchange counters monitored and alerted on when issues arise, but built in Actions provide automatic solution to problems without user intervention. 7 Open API SDK PacketTrap IT has a web service that can be used to pull information out of the database for use in a 3 rd party application. There are flexible controls to let users control how granular information they want, in addition to authentication and access controls to maintenance compliance.
