2 20/20+ Campaign In 1995, the leadership of DODA and FWGDA decided to combine the organizations and become the International Door Association (IDA). The was created on August 5, 2002 to provide scholarship assistance for IDA members who desired to obtain a higher degree of education. As a result of foresight by our leaders, 198 individuals have since received a total of $906, in scholarships. What an amazing achievement. A hearty THANK YOU to all who have made this possible! During the 2015 IDAExpo, we will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the International Door Association, and the will celebrate the success of helping our members achieve their educational goals. As part of this 20 year anniversary, the Foundation Board implemented a special fundraising effort with the goal of moving the Foundation into being a self-sustaining entity. Once this goal is reached, the Foundation can continue to award scholarships at its current level, and also be in a position to touch the lives of even more industry recipients. The Foundation currently provides $40,000 in annual scholarships. In order to maintain this award level and be self-sustaining, the Foundation s net worth must reach a minimum of $800,000. Therefore, we have set our fundraising goal to be $300,000. Here s where you can help. The is asking all IDA members (and others) to be a part of this 20/20+ campaign by donating a minimum of $20.00 between now and the 2015 IDAExpo. 100% of your donation supports scholarships and 100% is tax deductible. IDA members immediate families, employees and their immediate families are eligible to receive monetary awards to be applied toward undergraduate studies with state approved certified universities, colleges, and trade schools. Contributions Are Tax Deductible!
