2 The free bundled Time and Attendance and Access Control Management Software included with OZD-ABC-AV100 enables the total work time calculation and reporting for one clock-in and one clock-out record per employee per assigned shift day or each set of clock-in / out records per work session for Time and Attendance and / or Door Access Reporting purposes. This cost effective employee work time calculating can save Companies a lot of money in Administration costs annually as opposed to requiring Employees to manually fill-in Weekly Work Timesheets, which must be approved by Supervisors and then manually input into the Companies Payroll System by Administration Employees. The OZD-ABC-AV100 Biometric Fingerprint Unit is a high technology Biometric Fingerprint Time and Attendance and Access Control Unit. The OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit operates in the following manner: Up to 1,760 Employees Fingerprints, Identification Numbers and Passwords can be enrolled directly on the OZD-ABC-AV100 Hardware Unit or via the Time and Attendance and Access Control Management Software. The OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit's Firmware Operating System is embedded on a Security Chip seated on the OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit's Computer Motherboard. This Security Chip cannot be accessed, nor can the data stored on the Security Chip be edited, deleted or otherwise tampered with. Employees Fingerprints are captured by the Fingerprint Sensor. When enrolling an Employee on the OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit, the Employees Fingerprint must be successfully scanned twice before it is saved to the database system embedded on the Security Chip. The Employees Fingerprint image is broken up into segments, edited by morphing (transformation), converted to digital binary code, encrypted, and saved as a Fingerprint Profile Template to the Security Chip using a proprietary Pattern Matching Algorithm. The Employee Fingerprint Profile Templates cannot be accessed, re-created, edited, deleted or otherwise tampered with, except by an authorised System Administrator who has logged onto the OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit. 3 The Fingerprint Sensor is covered with a thin layer of clear latex. This aids in the efficiency of capturing Fingerprint Images by completely reducing the possibility of residual fingerprint smears being left behind by the previous Employee using their finger to enrol or clock-in / out of the system. It also enables grease, oil or other foreign materials to be easily removed from the Fingerprint Sensor. Finally, it also assists with the efficient reading of Fingerprints from Employees who have dry fingers or have recently received a scar on their finger after an accident. The Fingerprint Sensor also detects pressure and a pulse, to ensure a sign of life is registered along with the captured Fingerprint Image. OZD-ABC-AV100 can be used as a Time and Attendance Unit only by registering Employees Clock-in and Clock-out records as they arrive at or leave work and also deduct times for breaks and lunch if required, as a Door Opening Access Control Unit only by allowing authorised Employees to open office doors to high-security restricted access office areas, or as dual Time and Attendance and Access Control Unit. Alternatively, 1 OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit and a Door Exit Switch can be connected to the chosen Door Lock to enable compilation of employee Entry Door Opening records. The OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit can be connected to a computer or laptop by using USB (optional using an RS232 to USB Converter Cable), RS232, RS485 or TCP / IP (optional) or WiFi (optional) Data Communication or a LAN or WAN Server using Broadband Modem (optional) Data Communication. This enables Fingerprint Profile Templates, Employee Passwords / ID Numbers and Time and Attendance and Access Control Door Opening Records to be downloaded from the OZD-ABC-AV100 Unit to the computer or laptop. These same Fingerprint Profile Templates, Employee Passwords / ID Numbers can then be uploaded to other OZD-ABC-AV100 Units so that all Employee Data can be synchronised on all the OZD-ABC-AV100 Units within the enterprise. 4 The optional Software Development Kit available for OZD-ABC-AV100 enables the development of high-level application software enabling full management of the OZD- ABC-AV100, including real-time attendance record capturing and a vast array of other features.
