14 Phase I Tampa Orlando: Stations Each station has a unique approach local stakeholder coordination and collaboration will be key to success Five stations planned: Tampa downtown multi-modal; possible light rail; site being cleared Lakeland five potential sites under evaluation: Polk County TPO choices: #1 USF Polytechnic; #2 Kathleen Road Walt Disney World site being donated, exact location under review Orange County Convention Center- Destination Parkway intermodal station in collaboration with Orange County Orlando Airport GOOA Board recommended South Terminal location on March 17 14

16 Path Forward Preliminary Activities Florida Rail Enterprise has prioritized initial activities Initial milestones proposed for next 6-7 months for Phase I: Tampa-Orlando Refine cost estimates based on advanced engineering Continue development of possible Early Works contract for bid this year Initiate RFP process for Public Private Partnership to Design, Build, Operate, Maintain & Finance 16
17 Early Works Scope of Work: Install permanent barrier systems along most of I-4 on both sides Remove/relocate elements in median (e.g. sign structures) Install other elements that will not affect future HSR construction Objectives: Create safe work zone for I-4 traffic and later HSR construction Create jobs soon Discover unforeseen conditions on smaller contract 17
