This is cleartya compact building, passive as regards energy like a window to the sun. a construction built for a yaung famity from Gerasdorf. near to Vienna. A (wo storey horne with noticeably dual contrasts between pure pristine white finishes and wooden framework, the hause itself and the entrance pareh. which serves as both vestibule and parking wich both iodoer and outdoor areas, an area wh ich in half light comes before the house and which above all makes the perlect solari um. The strict regulations established by the Da rmstadt Council for passi. ve homes have been taken seriously and they have finally come to be registered. In addition to complying with these regulations an active climate is created within a passive home speaking yet again of dual purposes. in accordance that is with the technical regulations involved in the energy processing and making the most of the environment. Windows are done away with on the north fac;ade in favour of gaining direet solar power through those on the soum and west fac;ades. The building's main walls are supported above a basement whieh rests on top of a thick base whieh includes abundant thermal insulation. To avoid the thermal bridge effeet Purenit und Sylomer stainless steel thermal breaks have been used. Es una estruetura daramente compacta, energeticamente pasiva como una ventana al sol; una construecion para una joven fam ilia de Gerasdorf. cerca de Viena. Una vivienda de dos plantas que destaca por la dualidad de eontrastes entre los acabados puros, blanco pristino y entramado de madera: espacios tambien de comraste entre la vivienda y el porche de acceso, espacio abierto y cubieno. a la vez aparcamiento y vestibulo de acceso: un espacio en penumbra que precede a la vivienda y sobre el que se genera un perlecto solarium. Los estrictos requisitos dei Instituto de Darmstadt para las viviendas pasivas han sido tomados con seriedad. por 10 que finalmente han sido certificados.ademas de cumplir con estos requisitos, se crea un dima aetivo en una casa pasiva -otn vez hablando de dualidades-. de acuerdo con las reglas tecnicas dei tratamiento de la energia y la optimizadon medioambiental. Se renuncia a las ventanas en la fachada norte y se gana energia solar directa estableciendo las aperturas en la fachada sur y en la oeste. Las fachadas dei edificio prineipal se apoyan sobre un sotano que reposa encima de un gruesa losa que ineorpora un excesivo aislamiento termieo. Para evitar los puentes termieos se han utilizado separadores de Purenit y Sylomer eon acero inoxidable. 127

There has not been ehe need for a chimney since the temperature indoors in the winter is already sufficlent. But it isn't only in the winter when the Passivhaus Gerosdorf home has its advantages. During the summer time when, when the temperatures rise up to 40. the temperature inside the hause remains more or less consistent at a pleasant 24. The house's solar protection screens have been built and arranged in a consistent manner. EI sistema de ventilaci6n con aire y con pasos par tierra, templa y refresca el ambiente de la casa, y tambien sirve para proporcionar agua caliente. No ha sido necesario colocar una chimenea ya que la temperatura interior en invierno es adecuada. Pero no solamente es en invierno que la casa Possivhous Gerosdorftiene sus ventajas. Durante el perfodo estival. cuando las temperaturas suben con picos de hasta 400C. en el imerior de la easa se mantiene una temperatura mas 0 menos homogenea y agradable emorno a los H oc. las protecciones solares de que consta la casa han sido construidas y dispuescas de manera coherente.
