6 Principles of Green Industry Green Industry for me is the industry, which commits itself to environmentally- friendly entrepreneurship by focusing on development and continuous improvement, and practice business with responsibility towards society inside and outside organization as well as supply chain for sustainable development. 10 GIM Level 5: Green Network Two important criteria: Networking with supply chain: Work together with stakeholders in order that all high risk suppliers in supply chain reach GIM level 2 or 3 at the Gme of applicagon. Medium and low risk are also prepared for. Community acceptance: Conduct - through 3 rd party - an opinion survey in the surrounding communiges within a distance from the company of 5 km, with the result of 70% sagsfacgons among at least 200 respondents.
11 Opinion survey in community Criteria: SaGsfacGon among 70% of at least 200 respondents within 5 km from the factory. 5 km
12 What has been done: Department of Industrial Works, Green Industry PromoGon Office and SCP PS Project Thailand have made a pre- test of quesgonnaires to be used in opinion surveys. What will been done: Opinion surveys will be made for up to 10 factories in the coming months as part of applicagon for GIM level 5.
13 Contribution to a greener city: The pilot acgviges are focusing on 3 sectors, including Building Materials Manufacturing. GIM are not only encouraging the companies to save resources and reduce emissions, but also supporgng a development of greener products. AutomoGve Sector Building Material Sector City Lifestyle As such GIM also promotes green building materials, which help making ciges greener. Food Sector
14 SCP information campaigns in municipalities: Together with Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, the SCP Policy Project Thailand has conducted a survey on SCP awareness in 26 municipalities. Based on the survey SCP information campaigns in two municipalities have been launched. The effect of the campaigns will be monitored and will contribute to a better understanding of how SCP information campaigns can become efficient and lead to behavioural changes, which is the end goal.
15 SCP information campaigns in Phanat Nikhom: The theme of the information campaign in Panat Nikhom is: reduced generation of waste and reduced use of plastic bags. The information campaign consist of multi-facetted information including: Written materials Dancing contest Posters Games Quiz.
16 SCP information campaigns on Samui: The theme of the information campaign on Samui is: Save Water Save Samui. Fresh water is a serious problem for the island with many tourists. The information campaign consist of multi-facetted information including: Written materials TV Posters Games Quiz.
