1 s has contracted with CILC (Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration) to organize videoconferencing requests and payments. BPS has established a bank of money that is available for teachers to use. Approximately $5000 is funded each year based on the budget so teachers/schools will be limited on the amount of funds they can use. Therefore teachers are encouraged to search for and request free videoconferences. If you have questions, please contact Anne Graham at graham.annemarie@brevardschools.org Creating a CILC account 1. Go to and click the Join Now It s Free button. 2. After reading about benefits of membership, click on the Join Now button at the bottom of the screen. 3. Complete each of the required fields to establish your Member Profile. At the bottom, click Submit Membership. 4. Congratulations, you are now officially a CILC member.

2 Search for Content Videoconferencing 5. Although you can search from any page, it is easiest to hover over the Content for Students tab, and choose Content Provider Programs 6. Enter your search criteria, and then click the Search button. 7. To define your search, you may choose a specific Content Provider. You may also specify the Program Cost by clicking the dropdown and choose the amount. This is the best way to search for FREE programs. **NOTE NASA no longer accepts requests through CILC. Please use 8. When you find a program description that suited for your curriculum, click on the title for the full program flyer. Note***Be sure to pay attention to every program detail as each provider has restrictions.

3 Check Availability of Equipment The Educational Technology department has 4 sets of videoconferencing equipment designated by area. The area Tech Integrators will deliver the equipment, set up, break down, and provide support for your program. 9. Go to unty_schools/cilc/calendar 10. Check to see if the equipment is available on the date that you will be requesting. NOTE** Minimum of 2 weeks for paid programs, minimum of 4-6 weeks for free programs. Request a Program Programs requested through CILC will be paid for out of s pre-paid account at CILC. Schools requesting to pay for their own programs should not use CILC but contact the content provider directly and pay for the program using a school purchase order. 11. Click on the name of the program. 12. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Request this Program now

4 13. Fill in each of the fields. 14. IMPORTANT: In the drop down list titled Requesting Organization, make sure you select s 15. Once completed, scroll to the bottom and click Next Step. 16. On the Billing Information page, leave the defaults and click Next. DON T CHANGE CLICK NEXT 17. On the next page, review all of your information. If anything needs to be modified, click the Back button. If you would like to print the request for your records, click the Print button.

5 YOU ARE NOT FINISHED YET! 18. Click Forward for PIN Authorization. This will forward your request to the ET department. When your request is approved, it will then be sent to the Program Provider for approval. 19. Keep an eye out for s from CILC. If you receive an that says Program Request Acknowledgement, this means the BPS has approved your request. This does not mean you have been approved by the provider. You have to wait for a 2 nd from CILC that says, Program Date/Time Request Accept. your Tech Integrator your area Tech Integrator to let them know you have requested a videoconference so they can schedule it on their calendar. 20.
