3 Green IT Computers generates 2% of CO2 emissions from human activity. As far as all the world aircraft fleet! (Gartner Group). 35 to 50% of the electricity consumed by a data center is used to cool the servers (Gartner Group). With Virtualization could raise the utilization of servers by 20% on average now about 90% (PC Energy Report source).

(Fujitsu) The PC manufacturing process accounts for 70% of the natural resources used in the life cycle of a PC. (Gartner Group) Manufacturing a new PC makes a far bigger ecological footprint than manufacturing a new RAM module to upgrade an existing one (Gartner Group)
