2 ~~ GENERAL ~~ We "rolled out the orange carpet" to welcome our LCA families to the school year. It was a very memorable first day of school, and we can't wait to see what God has in store for LCA this year! For questions, please Jen DuPay and Jen Johnson at [email protected] BACK TO SCHOOL BONFIRE TIME The middle school and high school Student Councils would like to invite your student(s) to the Back to School Bonfires this weekend! The Wallmow family has graciously offered to host BOTH bonfires at their home that is very close to school. Their address is Ivywood Street NW, Andover. Middle School Bonfire - Friday, September 18 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. High School Bonfire - Saturday, September 19 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. There will be Gaga ball, games, food, and fellowship! Encourage your student(s) to join the fun! DADS WHO PRAY The next meeting for the LCA "Dads Who Pray" group will be on Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 am. We meet quarterly, early on Saturday mornings, to pray over our students, the school, and the staff. Join us in a 2nd floor office at 1922 S. 1st Avenue in Anoka. "THE MANE EVENT" Legacy's 5K Color Run - Saturday, October 3 For the next two weeks, we will award the students who raise the most pledges that week with a $10 gift card. Students should bring their pledges to their teacher on Tuesday. One student per Chapel will receive a gift card. CULTIVATING A GODLY HERITAGE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION Legacy Christian Academy is pleased to host an evening with David Barton, also know as "America's historian." He is founder and president of Wallbuilders, a national pro family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes with emphasis on moral, religious, and constitutional heritage.

The University of Notre Dame, the University of Virginia, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Emory University are hosting an information session on Thursday, October 8 at The Blake School at 7:00 pm. 5 ~~ ATHLETICS ~~ FALL SPORTS PICTURES Fall Sports Parents... if you would still like to order athletic pictures, please return the order form and payment to the School Office no later than this Thursday, September 17. GIRLS HOCKEY CO-OP CHANGE The Athletic Department is excited to announce that beginning this winter season our Girls Hockey co-op has moved from Blaine High School to Andover High School. The Andover program is coached by Melissa Volk. To learn more about the Andover Huskies Girls Hockey program, go to WINTER ONLINE REGISTRATION OPENING SOON The Athletic Department will be sending an to parents of all 5th-12th grade students soon in regards to online winter sports registration. Online registration will be a required step by all interested participants and early registration is encouraged to help in the planning process. Winter sports include Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Hockey, and the following coops: Girls Hockey with Andover High School and Boys Swimming with Andover High School. (Note: Hockey registration is limited to students in grades 7-12.)
