The Symposium is also aimed at professionals from industry, government agencies, and other institutions with similar responsibilities. About the Symposium Safety management has been a explicit subject in the field of nuclear technology since TÜV SÜD s symposiums on Safety management in nuclear technology have from the outset offered a forum for institutions and people who participate in operating safe, secure nuclear power plants to discuss their experiences with safety management. The legal background conditions have changed, so new challenges for safety management systems during post-operational and dismantling phases have been added to the usual efforts to make continuous improvements to safety management systems in plants that are operational. Both aspects will be considered during the Symposium.
