4 Success stories Take a look at what other marketing services companies are doing with BlueVenn and how they are making the most out of partnering with us DataMentors grows business by 20% in two years through BlueVenn partnership DataMentors has combined its DataFuse software for data quality and consolidation with BlueVenn s software to provide a rebranded solution called PinPoint. DataFuse provides an accurate single customer view and has been developed over nine years to resolve inexact matches. Previously, our software would provide customers with a clean database but they would have to buy something like Unica for campaign management, Business Objects for analysis or Microstrategy for data mining, says Bob Orf, CEO of DataMentors. By partnering with BlueVenn, we can provide customers with a hosted or installed solution for accessing that data and putting it to work. BlueVenn now generates about 15% of our revenue and has enabled us to grow our business by 33% this year. There have been instances where prospects have required a full turnkey solution. Before, we couldn t compete for that business, but now we can. The combination of DataFuse and BlueVenn is branded as PinPoint. We don t want customers to feel like they have to deal with multiple companies or points of contact, says Orf. We don t hide our partnership quite the opposite but we want to reassure customers that we are independent. By giving the product a different name and brand we help to communicate the unique value that we add with DataFuse. DataMentors has received training so that it can operate independently and own the customer relationship. We are fully independent and don t have to rely on BlueVenn, says Orf. That said, we know that BlueVenn is there to help us when we need it. We had a technical issue recently that went beyond what we could fix. BlueVenn sent people to the customer site to resolve the issue, which shows the commitment that BlueVenn has to our partnership. Our own philosophy is to make the customer happy. We re BlueVenn s customer, and they certainly do that for us! BlueVenn now generates about 15% of our revenue and has enabled us to grow our business by 33% this year.

5 Cendris cuts data prework by 50% using BlueVenn Cendris is one of Holland s largest players in direct communication. The company has seen its business transform over the last couple of years from offering discrete print, direct mail and call centre services into becoming a marketing service provider. Our clients don t come to us for print services or b2b data lists any more, says Kees Groenewoud, MD of campaign management, Cendris. They expect us to solve their business problems. Working with BlueVenn enables Cendris to close sales more quickly. When I demonstrate BlueVenn it speeds up the sales process, says Groenewoud. Services are sold on benefits and it s now much easier for us to demonstrate that than it was when we were developing bespoke solutions. He concludes: The best thing is that BlueVenn closes the gap between us and our clients. We can offer hosted services so that customers can outsource their business to us and yet still have transparent access to their data and campaigns. The company developed bespoke software previously. It took a long time to set up a new project and we found ourselves developing the same software over and over again, says Groenewoud. We wanted to optimise our time to market and introduce a proper campaign management infrastructure, which is why we partnered with BlueVenn. Using BlueVenn, Cendris is able to create multistep, multichannel, multitier campaigns for its clients. Many of them will not have tracked their return on investment in marketing before. We have a client which is an internet service provider, says Groenewoud. They don t track the marketing approaches they make, but once we set them up with BlueVenn they will save up to 30% of their marketing costs through process optimisation. Using BlueVenn to consolidate and prepare data for analysis will save Cendris time on routine work. Using BlueVenn, we can cut the time taken for data preparation by half, says Groenewoud. We typically spend about three days of a six day job preparing data. You can imagine the savings we ll make if we re saving one and a half days on each project. It means our analysts can focus on what we pay them for - data analysis - instead of spending their time on data deduplication and standardisation. 6 ASTECH InterMedia grows its business by 20% per year with BlueVenn ASTECH InterMedia provides MAAX, the leading marketing automation solution for the newspaper industry in North America, which is based on white-labelled BlueVenn technology.
