1 EEO Vacancy Information for 2013 San-Dow Broadcasting, JMD Broadcasting: WWMS,WSYE, WZLQ, WELO DBA, Mississippi Radio Group, Tupelo, Mississippi Position Source of Hire Interviews Recruitment Responses There were no openings for any positions during 2013 San-Dow Broadcasting and JMD Broadcasting Outreach Statement: The stations of the Mississippi Radio Group continue to aggressively recruit for all open positions. We do this even when there are no immediate openings. Each opening is distributed to at least 3 universities in Northeast Mississippi. It is also important to us that we participate in various Job Fairs in our state to attempt to find qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds. It is important to us to recruit nationwide for applicable openings utilizing when necessary.

2 2013 Recruitment Initiatives Initiative 1: The Business to Business Expo in Tupelo, Mississippi gives us the opportunity to network and talk to perspective people who might be interested in broadcast media for a career. The Expo was held at the BancorpSouth Arena on February 5, The event was attended by over 1000 people including many young adults and minorities. This Expo was not slated as a Job Fair, however, we use this event as an opportunity to seek out anyone who might be looking for a career in Radio, specifically, with the Mississippi Radio Group. Initiative 2: On February 26, 2013 Jeff Covington, Regional Sales Executive, traveled to Holly Springs, Mississippi to attend the Governor s Job Fair. The event allowed Mr. Covington to represent the Mississippi Radio Group to numerous people who were searching for employment. During the 5-6 hour event 4 people filled out applications specifically interested in broadcasting. The Governor s Job Fair is something we will continue to support. Initiative 3: As the Chairman-Elect for the Mississippi Association of Broadcaster s I traveled to Washington, DC March 3-6, 2013 for the annual NAB Convention. While attending I received updated information on hiring practices

3 as related to broadcaster s. I also met with Senator Thad Cochran, Senator Roger Wicker, Representative Alan Nunnelee, and Representative Bennie Thompson. We discussed an array of topics. This relationship allows me and the MAB to have a direct line of communication to these important Mississippi leaders. It s a very valuable relationship. Intiative 4: On April 18, 2013 Scott Bebout, Regional Market Manager for the Mississippi Radio Group and Board Chairman of the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters traveled Hattiesburg, MS to participate in the MAB on Campus Day at the University of Southern Mississippi. This event is a campaign initiated by the MAB to reach out to young people on college campuses in Mississippi who might be interested in a career in Broadcasting. The day was spent interviewing students and helping them understand the opportunities available in both television and radio. Mr. Bebout listened to 5 On-Air tapes and watched videos of students who had an interest in tv and/or radio. He also met with faculty to discuss how they could better prepare students for interviews and job hunting following graduation. This is one of the only initiatives in the U.S. where as state broadcasting association travels to state colleges, both private and public, to showcase and interview students for broadcasting careers.

4 Intiative 5: On April 25, 2013 Jeff Covington, Regional Sales Executive traveled to Booneville, Mississippi to attend the Job Fair put on by the Northeast Mississippi Junior College. He accepted resumes from 6 students who might be interested in broadcasting. He also gave them information on our company. Intiative 6: On July 12, 2013 Scott Bebout and several other MAB Board members met in Jackson, Mississippi with 8 instructors/professors from several universities and colleges from all across Mississippi. The purpose of the meeting was to make sure our MAB on Campus programs were meeting the needs of the college students who attend from these respective schools. We laid out the future meetings and talked of how they can be improved. It is very important that the MAB has an integral place in the lives of these perspective broadcasters. We will continue to try to be of service to these colleges as we recruit young talent!
