Here is what makes our approach stand out: a claims specialist and a rehabilitation specialist in disability management and prevention (RSDMP) take care of everything, even after a switch from short-term to long-term disability treatment plans developed with the help of our experts workplace disability statistics and related recommendations and high-level reports comparing your data with a benchmark 1

5 Critical illness insurance Critical illness insurance allows employees to focus on getting better without putting their finances at risk. Our enhanced plan is one of the most comprehensive on the market. Advisory services If your company has decided to self-finance its shortterm disability income plan, our disability management Advisory services can provide you with invaluable support. Our RSDMPs are there to help you manage absenteeism and reduce the risk of employees going on long-term disability. Convalescent care It is important to achieve a full recovery after surgery, for example so employees can be confident that their return to work will be sustainable. Convalescent care includes various services to help employees who have been hospitalized return to work. 3

Consequently, prevention and health promotion are essential components of disability management. We want to be your partner in disability management and support you in your efforts to improve your claims experience and your company s productivity. Health is Cool 360 platform We know that healthy employees are the key to a company s success. That s why we ve added the Health is Cool 360 platform to our service offer. The platform, which is accessible online or by phone, provides your employees with information and advice, while helping them navigate their way around the healthcare system. The platform also includes a Health evaluation tool that provides employees with a comprehensive, confidential report on the state of their health. You can also use this tool to get a global snapshot of your employees health so you can identify the most common health issues and plan preventive health promotion campaigns accordingly. 4
7 Workplace assistance program Today s workplace can be a demanding environment. Employees and managers have to deal with all kinds of challenges, both personal and professional. To help them cope with the stress of modern life and stay productive at work, we offer employees and their immediate families the Posaction employee assistance program (EAP). Health assistance service Healthy employees who have the tools they need to deal with stress and everyday problems miss work less often and are more productive. The Health assistance service is a telephone helpline staffed by healthcare professionals 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Health PACT This service focuses on Prevention, Assistance and Counselling by Telephone, providing a proactive approach to keeping employees at work. An integral part of the Health is Cool 360 platform, it specifically targets chronic conditions that are frequent causes of absenteeism and high group plan costs. 5
8 Specialized training Because we know that prevention plays a crucial role in disability management, our team of experts has developed a specialized training program. The purpose of the program is to share our extensive expertise in health promotion and absence management and help you implement effective processes adapted to your organization. Referrals to external providers We can refer you to external providers who will organize prevention activities to help you detect health problems or encourage employees to adopt healthy lifestyle habits. These activities might include vaccination clinics, an anti-smoking campaign or blood pressure screenings. 6
9 Our interdisciplinary team Our disability management team is made up of 175 claims specialists and 50 disability management and prevention specialists. These specialists have experience in fields such as: medicine nursing psychology counselling physical rehabilitation We can also count on a team of 30 healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, psychiatrists, cardiologists, dentists, pharmacists and other health specialists. About the service offer Our service offer was developed based on over 50 years of experience in disability management and prevention. It is the result of a collaborative effort by our RSDMPs, our team of healthcare professionals, the actuaries in our research and development department and our long-standing clients.
