5 Sam Wardwell, CFA Economic & Capital Markets Update: Sam Wardwell and the Investment Strategy Specialist team are responsible for explaining the investment philosophy, process, and performance of investment products and providing updates on overall financial market performance, economic trends and the firm s economic outlook to clients and their advisors. Sam s career has given him direct experience with many of the most important economic developments of the past thirty years. He began his career with Bank of Boston as a commercial lender specializing in transportation companies during the Carter administration s deregulation of the transportation sector and imposition of credit controls in an attempt to slow inflation. He moved to the bank s investments division as a fixed income position trader during the years when the Volcker Federal Reserve raised interest rates to unprecedented levels in its successful attack on inflation. In 1984, Sam joined Fidelity Investments on the fixed income investment side of the business, moving to the equity side and then into a role as a spokesman for Fidelity s portfolio managers to institutional clients and consultants. Sam joined Wellington Management Company in Over the next twelve years, he helped lead the growth of its institutional business, leading product management and institutional client relationship management teams. He also conducted original capital markets research and wrote white papers on topics such as the drivers of equity size and style cycles and the influence of the dot.com stocks on market index returns. Sam joined Pioneer Investments in 2003 from State Street Research where he was head of equity product management. Sam graduated from Williams College (with honors) in 1977 with a bachelor s degree in Economics and English. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991.
6 Unconstrained: What it Isn t David Young, CFA David Young is the Founder of Anfield Group, LLC and the Chief Executive Officer at Anfield Capital Management. With 25 years of investment experience, David has worked with many of the largest and most sophisticated institutional and private investors in investment strategy, portfolio management and asset allocation. At the end of 2008, he retired as Executive Vice President with Pacific Investment Management Company to rejoin the U.C. Irvine Merage School of Business as Adjunct Professor of Finance, and create Anfield Capital Management, LLC. From 1999 to 2006, David was head of PIMCO s account management group in London where he built a team of 25 investment professionals managing over 200 client accounts and approximately $50 billion in assets across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. David holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation, an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, and degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. He has taught finance and investments courses at the Paul Merage School, the Financial Times Knowledge programs (UK), and CFA exam preparation courses sponsored by the CFA society of Orange County, the USC / Los Angeles CFA Society, and U.K. CFA societies. Mr. Young sits on several non-profit Investment Committees and Boards of Directors including The County of Orange (California) Healthcare System "CalOptima."

9 riskalyze Redefining investor s notion of investment risk: Aaron Klein, CEO Aaron is the quintessential entrepreneur, spending his entire career working with entrepreneurial businesses at the intersection of finance and technology. He s led companies or teams working on business operations software, payments technology for political candidates and causes, and mobile strategies for trading tools. He co-founded and joined Riskalyze as CEO in He has led the company through the building of its core technology, the validation of that technology with users building $2 billion in portfolios and the launch of its platform that serves investment advisors all across the United States. In his spare time, he blogs at AaronKlein.com, serves as a trustee for his local community college district, co-founded an initiative to promote adoption and orphan care, and most importantly, is a husband and dad to Cacey, Spencer and Emma.
