15 Modelling of production: different approaches Do complex production targets need always complex solutions? Not necessarily. This approach is only promising, if there is a judge basis of experience and empirical values. Only in this case we might be in a good position to judge boundary conditions appropriately. What else can we do? Use heuristics. Use rule based models. Deal uncertainty intuitively.
