8 What is the typical first year earnings for each position? Assuming each position starts training on Jan 1 st and pay begins after training is completed. To determine the first year pay for each position we determined the minimum amount of training needed in terms of the time in training and the expense incurred. A position that has 6 weeks of training would have only 46 weeks of time on the job earning pay during the year. The pay is based on a typical work week of 40 hours. For Example: 52 weeks 6 weeks of training = 46 weeks. At 40 hours per week in a position that pays $10 per hour, you could expect to earn $18, weeks * $10 per hour * 40 hours per week = $18,400 The expense of training was then subtracted from the amount to show a first year earnings. $18,400 - $2,500 training expense = $15,900 in first year income.
9 What is the typical first year earnings for each position? Assuming each position starts training on Jan 1 st and pay begins after training is completed. Certified Nursing Assistant 52 weeks 3 weeks of training = 49 weeks on the job $9.75 per hour * 40 hours per week * 49 weeks = $19,110 $19,110 - $650 training expense = $18,460 Phlebotomy Tech 52 weeks 20 weeks of training = 32 weeks on the job $12.25 per hour * 40 hours per week * 32 weeks = $15,680 $15,560 - $1,400 training expense = $14,280 EMT Basic 52 weeks 26 weeks of training = 26 weeks on the job $13.26 per hour * 40 hours per week * 26 weeks = $13, $13, $2,250 training expense = $11, Pharmacy Tech 52 weeks 39 weeks of training = 13 weeks on the job $10.50 per hour * 40 hours per week * 13 weeks = $5,460 $5,460 - $3,450 training expense = $2,010 Medical Assistant 52 weeks 52weeks of training = 0 weeks on the job $14.00 per hour * 40 hours per week * 0 weeks = $0 $0 - $8,700 training expense = - $8,700 PhysAssist Scribes 52 weeks 1 week of training = 51 weeks on the job $7.25 per hour * 40 hours per week * 8 weeks = $2,320 $8.34 per hour * 40 hours per week * 43 weeks = $14, $2,230 + $14, $0 training expense = $16,664.80
