Medical Assistant Clinical Medical Assistant Certification Course (Popular Choice) This course is designed to train the student to function in the medical office as a front and back office assistant. Students will be able to utilize their knowledge and abilities in assisting the Medical Doctor to deliver quality patient care. Students develop basic skills in clinical laboratory, emergency and min or surgical procedures, basic pharmacology, hematology and medication administration. The Clinical Medical Assistant can expect to find to find employment in Physicians offices, hospitals or laboratories upon completion of this program. Duration: 4 Months (16 weeks) Monday-Thursday 9am-4:30 pm Course Fees: $ Adm. Fees & Enrollment Contract Patient Care Technician Certified Patient Care Technician The patient care technician course is designed to give nurse assistants the opportunity to advance their nursing skills. Students are trained through a series of clinical/laboratory and classroom sessions in advanced skills such as Venipuncture, EKG, catheterization, wound care, recording of patient information, patient assessment and other related patient care tasks. Students graduating from the Patient Care Technician training program can expect to find employment in hospitals, rehab facilities and home health care possibly. Upon completion of training students are encouraged to challenge the National Certification Exam. Duration: 14 weeks (3 Months & 1 week) Mon-Thurs. 9am-4:30pm Course Fees: $ ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) & PALS (Pediatric Life Support) Advanced Course for experienced Health Care Providers working in areas of E.R., I.C.U, and Medical and Surgical Units including O.R. and Physicians and Paramedics. ACLS/PALS Certification PALS is typically for everyone listed above and healthcare providers who work primarily with Pediatric Patients. 3 Medical Billing and Coding Medical Billing & Coding Students are trained to perform computerized medical billing and coding with speed and accuracy. In this program students are taught medical terminology, the use and application of medical codes, medical ethics, records and third party reimbursements and obtaining patient information. Graduates of this program can expect to find employment in physicians offices, hospital claims department, or with private medical claims department. Students are exposed to Medicaid, Medicare and Private Medical Claims departments or with private medical claims contractors. **Entrepreneur Op.! Course Duration: 13 Weeks Mon-Thurs. 9am-4:30 pm Course Fees: $ Adm. Tests Certified Nurse Assistant C.N.A Course This course is an introduction to the profession of nursing. It is designed to help train Health care professionals who will provide basic nursing care to patients. If you are looking for a certification that will instantly gain you employment even without experience, this is it! In as little as 4 weeks you can complete this training and begin to prepare for Certification exam and anticipate where you would like to work. Course Duration: 4-6 Weeks Mon-Thurs. 9am-4:30 pm Course Fees: $ Adm. Tests & Enrollment Contract Certified Phlebotomy Technician Phlebotomy Technician In this course students learn to function in both the lab and the physician s office. Students learn fundamental principles of bacteriology, physiology, Blood collection, color coding, charting and recording of patients results and other patient care tasks. Jobs can expect to be located in hospitals, blood bank labs, or independent agencies. Upon completion of training students are encouraged to challenge the National Certification exam. Duration: 7 weeks M-Th. Course Fees: $3108 GA Approved Refresher Course is designed for nurses whose license have lapsed in the state of Georgia or need additional hours to get full active status on licensure as a nurse. 4 Pharmacy Technician Certification Pharmacy Technician An advanced health related course designed to prepare the student to function safely in a pharmacy department. Primary role is assisting the Pharmacists to dispense prescribed drugs to patients, proficient in using the Physicians Desk Reference (PDR), identify Drug classes, brands and effects. They also learn the laws governing drug distribution, medical terminology and abbreviations. Pharmacy Techs work in hospitals pharmacies, and pharmacy department stores. Upon completion students are encouraged to challenge the National Certification Exam. Course Duration: 15 weeks Classes are Mon-Thurs. 9am-4:30pm Course Fees: $4598 C.N.A Refresher Course If you need to review your Nurse Aid Skills and have to prepare for the exam. You may be eligible for a refresher course. Qualifications for a Refresher Student: Certification recently lapsed (3 years or less) Successfully completed an approved Nurse Aid program within 1 year Have not tested and successfully passed both parts of the exam within 1 year of training.
