1 Organisational Context Invitation to Tender for Web Design and Development Services Know How is Broadway s new project, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2007 to 2013 and supported using public funding by Arts Council England, with additional finance contributed by regional universities. The project will stimulate knowledge transfer between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and East Midlands-based Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the arts, culture and heritage sector through: (i) peer-to-peer forums supported by specialist expertise; (ii) collaborative R&D and rapid prototyping events; (iii) grants enabling the continued development of prototypes; and (iv) paid graduate placements and postgraduate research assignments. The project will also enable Broadway to create dedicated spaces for collaboration, knowledge transfer, innovation, and enterprise activities between artists and technologists and across emerging industry sectors, through the refurbishment of under-utilised floor space into connected multifunctional zones. Web Design and Development Services Know How is looking to procure a web developer, initially to develop a system which: Automatically enables events created from several Eventbrite accounts to be imported onto the Broadway website and feed into Broadway's mobile apps; Integrates with the existing approval and publishing processes; Enables published events and the booking process to appear almost identical to events currently listed on the Broadway website; and Allows the data to feed into all the other systems like 'Print This' etc. All work produced must be in keeping with Broadway s brand and identity. As the project progresses, it is an anticipated that further design and web development work may be required. Technical Proposal 3.1 Approach and Methodology Provide a description of the approach and methodology, to include: Outline method statement Assumptions Exclusions Details of the individual(s) who will be carrying out the work. 3.2 Project Schedule Provide your proposed schedule for the design and delivery of the materials detailed in the tender invitation, to include as a minimum: Lead-in period between being selected for the provision of web design and development services and the commencement of the development work; Time from commencement of development work to implementation of the booking system, with a desired live date of Monday 30 th June ERDF Compliance Provide a description of your understanding of ERDF compliance in relation to the provision of design and print services and the agreements between parties on the Know How project, for example including publicity, procurement and retention of documents.
