Wesołych Świąt. Father Sebastian The United Methodist Church of Naugatuck, 208 Meadow St., is holding a coat drive for families in Naugatuck. Coats will be collected January 1 through January 17. If you have an extra coat or two, you may drop it off at their church office on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 10:30 2:30 and Thursday from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. They will also pick them up, please call their office for more information. Please join them in their effort to make sure the members of our community stay warm this winter. The Parish office will be closed Wednesday, December 23 and Thursday, December 24. Merry Christmas! ION BANK COMMUNITY AWARDS PROGRAM WE NEED YOUR VOTE The Ion Bank Foundation would like to invite you to participate in the 7 th Annual Community Awards program which will take place Monday, January 4, 2016 to Thursday, March 31, 2016; winners will be announced in May, This program allows each Ion Bank customer to vote for their favorite non-profit organization to help the Foundation give away $60,000. Fourth Sunday in Advent: Mary was excited about her first pregnancy and rushed to tell her cousin. Sadly children are often seen as a liability, another mouth to feed or an obstacle to my career. It is said Christmas is for children. It is more accurate to say Christmas is for adults to appreciate the gift of children. From the Pastor s Desk Snow Storm Policy for both St. Mary & St. Hedwig Churches For daily Mass (Monday-Friday) when Naugatuck Schools are closed or delayed, we will cancel the 7:30am (St. Mary) or 9:00am (St. Hedwig) morning daily Mass and reschedule the Mass intention. This will allow adequate time to plow the parking lots and shovel the sidewalks. This also applies to the weekend: If a snow starts on Saturday and continues through the afternoon there will be no Mass at 4pm or 5:15pm at St. Hedwig, or if a snowstorm hits overnight, Saturday into Sunday, the 8:00am at St. Mary and the 9:00am at St. Hedwig are cancelled. We need the time to get the properties ready. The concert is entitled The Music of Christmas Eve.
