15 GENERAL MANAGEMENT Dr. Madhumita Chatterji Director-IFIM Dr. Madhumita holds an M.A., MBA and Ph.D. She has also completed a Programme on History, Politics and Society from the University of Oxford, U.K. Her areas of interest include Organizational Behaviour, International Management, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Ethics, Indian Ethos Management, Cross Cultural Management and Emotional Intelligence. With over 20 years of academic and 5 years of corporate experience, she has taught at Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary and several other prestigious institutions across India. She has authored a book on Corporate Social Responsibility and Kshatriyas in Ancient india. Prof. M.H Sharieff Associate Professor- International Business & Strategy Prof. Sharieff holds a degree in B.E (Mechanical Engineering) and an MBA in Marketing. He is currently pursuing Ph. D. from VTU. His areas of interest are International Business, Strategy, Marketing, Organizational Development & Corporate Training and Decision Sciences. He has over 19 years of corporate experience. He has served on various Government of India s trade facilitation and regulatory committees. Dr. Sonika Sharma Assistant Professor & Coordinator-IIP Dr. Sonika Sharma has 15 years of professional experience in academics at various B-schools of India. She is a gold medalist in Human Resource Development, Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. With strong communications skills as author, lecturer, debater, and negotiator dealing with various entities in law and business administration, she has 6 publications to her credit. 16 MARKETING Prof. Anand Narasimha Professor-Marketing & Strategy Professor Anand is a corporate turned academician with 25 years of leadership experience in Marketing, Advertising and Consulting and close to 5 years in academics. He describes himself as a Brand Mentor and has navigated Global and Indian brands, across categories like Personal Care, Food & Beverage, Fashion, Consumer Electronics, Automobiles, Telecom and Financial Services. He teaches courses, and consults in Brand Management, Marketing Communications, Global Branding, Shopper Marketing, Consumer Trends and Business Strategy. He has a Masters in Behavioural Sciences from BITS, Pilani and a PGP in Strategic Brand Management from IIM-Kolkata. He is also a faculty resource for Executive Programs at IIM-Bangalore. Dr. R.Satish Kumar Dean-Research & International Relations and Professor-Marketing Dr. R. Satish Kumar holds B.Tech (Mechanical), M.B.A and Ph.D. degrees (Ph.D. in management from University of Brussels). With over two decades of experience in Industry and Academics, Dr. Kumar has served at senior level positions in companies such as NIIT Ltd, Radiant Software Ltd and Firepro Systems Pvt. Ltd (A Panasonic Group Company) and also as faculty at TAPMI Manipal and Alliance University Bangalore. He is the Research Guide, Examiner and Thesis Evaluator for PhD in management at Jain University, Bangalore, Manipal University, Manipal and Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He has published over 35 research papers in both national and international journals and presented papers in national and international conferences. His areas of interest are Consumer Behaviour, Business Marketing and, Services Marketing. Prof. Rahul Gupta Choudhury Associate Professor-Marketing Prof. Rahul Gupta Choudhury is a chemical engineer from NIT, Durgapur. He did his post-graduation from IIM (Lucknow), with Marketing as the thrust area. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. from a reputed University in Bangalore. He is also a Fulbright scholar from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He has worked in the corporate sector for fifteen years and in academics for the past ten years. 17 HRM Dr. C.N Narayana Director- IFIM Centre for Distance Learning and Professor-HRM Dr. C. N. Narayana is a corporate leader turned academician having worked for more than 23 years in Indian and multinational companies like Godrej & Boyce, GE Appliances and Thermax, to mention a few. His exposure included operations, finance, financial planning & analysis, Purchases, HR, Commercials, Internal audit and assurance. He was associated with International Management Institute, New Delhi for 5 years. He teaches OB, OD and Change Management. He is a Commerce graduate from Bharathiar University and a Post Graduate in Marketing Management from Alagappa University, Executive MBA (EEP Company sponsored) from SPJIMR and a Ph.D., from Canterbury University, U.K. He has published two books on spirituality and inner management apart from many articles on management and spirituality in various magazines. Prof. Shaji Kurian Associate Professor-HRM He holds a Masters degree in Psychology as well as an MBA in Human Resource Management. He is pursuing his Ph.D in Strategic Human Resource Management. Prior to IFIM, he was the talent head in India Semiconductor Association and was responsible for mobilizing resources and executing all-india level strategic programs to ensure continuing availability of talent for the semiconductor and allied industries in India. He has published and presented many papers in India and abroad and has conducted many training programs for corporate as well as government sectors. He is also an empanelled trainer at Income Tax Training Institute, Institute of advanced training for Income Tax Officers. Dr. Gunjan M Sharma Assistant Professor-HRM He has obtained his MBA & PhD degrees from Aligarh Muslim University. His area of teaching includes Human Capital Management, Business Analytics and HR analytics. His research papers have been published in various international and national journals. He has reviewed several research papers for international journals and is on the editorial board of IJMBR (Islamic University, Iran) and International Journal of Academic Research in Management (Switzerland, Helvetic Edition). 18 FINANCE Dr. V. Sridevi Associate Professor-Finance Dr. Sridevi, is a Ph. D. with over 12 years of teaching experience. Her areas of interest are Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Security Analysis, Portfolio Management and Capital Markets. She has conducted corporate training for HAL, Oracle and BMTC. She has to her credit several published research papers and has also taught executive courses at several institutes. Dr. Sunil K Parameswaran Professor-Finance Sunil K. Parameswaran holds a PGDM from IIM-Bangalore and he obtained his Ph.D in Finance from Duke University, North Carolina. His primary areas of interest are Securities Markets; Financial Derivatives; Fixed Income Securities; and International Finance. For the past ten years Dr. Parameswaran has been a corporate trainer and management consultant. He has delivered training programs on Global Securities Markets and Global Banking to WIPRO Technologies, HCL Technologies, MINDTREE Consulting; JP Morgan Chase and Societe Generale, to mention a few. Dr. Parameswaran has taught at leading business schools in the U.S., Singapore, Australia, and India. Prof. Premsundar Iyengar Professor-Finance Prof. Premsundar Iyengar is a Chartered Accountant and a PGDM from IIM-Ahmedabad with 25 years of Trading and Analytical experience. He has over 17 years of corporate experience. He was the Treasurer, Vice President and the President of the Madras Stock Exchange Ltd. Over his 7 years of academic experience, he has taught various subjects like Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, Corporate Finance, Security Analysis, Investments, Money & Capital Markets, Financial Derivatives, Portfolio Management, Financial Markets, Strategic Finance, Managerial Economics and Business Law. Prof. Charmi Shah Assistant Professor-Finance Ms. Charmi Shah holds Master degree in Management with specialization in Finance. She has CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification from Financial Planning Standard Board India. She is also UGC-NET qualified. She is pursuing her Doctoral studies in Mutual Fund Information. She takes courses and does research in fields such as accountancy, costing, finance and entrepreneurship. She is a Chartered Accountant and has a PGDM from IIM Shillong. Mr. Satish Kalra Director- Centre of Excellence in Banking Mr. Kalra s educational qualification is Indian Institute of Banking, Mumbai- Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking Punjab Agricultural University-Diploma in Business Management, Punjab Agricultural University-BSc (Hons) Botany. He was the Divisional Head, Financial Inclusion, Punjab National Bank, Financial Inclusion & Development of Rural & Urban Poor, New Delhi. He also held several other key roles in Punjab National Bank. He has won many awards including the State Government awarded citation as Best Banker for the District Sriganganagar. IT & OPERATIONS Prof. Rupesh Kumar Sinha Assistant Professor-IT & Opertions He holds degrees in B.Sc. (Bot Hons), GNIIT, MCP, PGDCA, M.Sc. (Comp. Sc.), MBA (Operations Management), and is currently pursuing Ph.D. (SCM), from Jain University. Before joining IFIM he was Chair Prof & Director at Fore School of Management, New Delhi for about fourteen years. Prior to joining Fore School he was professor at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow for about ten years. He has worked as consultant to a number of leading organizations in the area of Telecom, FMCG, Banking, and Insurance in the application of Predictive modeling using SAS enterprise Miner. He has published a number of papers in the area of Predictive analytics participated in a number of International and national conferences. 32 Admission Process Program commencement date : Monday, June 1, 2015 Application fee: Rs. 1200/- Total seats: 180 PGDM: 120 PGDM (FINANCE): 60 Eligibility for Admission Candidates applying for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) are required to have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. They should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the degree course until that time. They should be completing all their degree examinations before June 15, Such candidates are required to provide proof of passing the degree examination with the minimum required marks of 50%, latest by September 30, Candidates applying for PGDM must have a valid CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/ATMA percentile. Candidates applying for PGDM (Finance) must have a valid CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT percentile.
