UTAH COUNTY BID SPECIFICATIONS MOBILE COMMAND UNIT BID SPECIFICATION: Utah County will provide two attachments to the bid specifications: ATTACHMENT 1 will be a diagram of the dimensions of the coach and the layout. ATTACHMENT 2 will be the specifications of the MACK truck that Utah County will purchase for the unit. Extreme care shall be exercised to provide for ease of serviceability of the system in future years. TRUCK AND CHASSIS The truck and chassis will be provided and delivered by Utah County to the vendor. Body The body shall be an all aluminum body capable of carrying the maximum payload. All framing and structural support shall be welded. Wall framing should be fabricated using 1.5 X 1.5 X 1/8 inch square tubing aluminum. Framing and support shall be warranted against corrosion. The body shall be attached to the chassis with hardened U bolts fastened to the chassis and body mounting rails. UHMW mounting cushion shall be installed between the modular body and the chassis frame. The body shall be designed and constructed to insure a life expectancy of more than ten years with normal use. The forward section of the body will have a cab over design over the cab of the truck that will be sloped towards to the front for wind resistance and storage.
FLOORS, CEILINGS, AND WALLS Insulate complete walls and ceiling with 1 to 1.5 fiberglass duct board. Cover interior walls with ½ plywood or 1/8 aluminum sheeting. Cover sub wall with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP). Cover ceiling with ½ plywood or 1/8 aluminum sheeting. Cover sub ceiling with high quality fabric, gray in color. Floor to be covered with commercial grade, non-skid rubber dimple flooring (BLACK). CABINETS Fabricate and install interior storage cabinets, shelves, and workstations as per drawings and specifications All cabinetry to be constructed of maple grade plywood. Color or stain to be determined by purchaser. All cabinets to be glued and screwed. No exposed fasteners are acceptable on cabinet fronts. All drawers are to use heavy duty, ball bearing; double action drawer slides and has fixed handles with thumb locks. Work stations to have metal, powder-coated frame. Work station surface to have choice of laminate covering with vinyl trim. INTERIOR All compartments and control to have labels where required. Central ducting heating with 31,000 btu LP furnace x (2). Air Conditioners, 15,000btu w/heat strips ducted through the ceiling x (2). Entrance door, Motor home type, 32 x 80 w/window, screen and drip rail. Windows tinted safety glass through out x (7) (w/2 egress). Day and night blinds through out. Window ledges throughout (wood to match cabinets) x (7). Cabinets throughout according to floor plan with raised doors (medium, oak in color). Corian or similar type counter tops throughout according to floor plan. Privacy curtain at cab opening. Single level faucet in kitchen (chrome or brass).
Power exhaust fan with wall control mounted above toilet. Bathroom sink. Stainless steel double bowl in kitchen. Bathroom faucet dual handle (chrome or brass). Water heater, 6 gallon DSI/LP electric w/wall switch. Converter, 50 AMP w/110 v panel and 110 v sub panel. Outside door to access 110 volt panel. Outside 110v receptacle on curbside of body. Lighting interior 12v. Standard exterior lighting. Smoke detector x (2). Water pump 12v. Bench seating as shown in drawings with storage. Install low profile fluorescent lights in ceiling as shown in drawings (7). Windows, tinted safety glass single pane (standard). Install large white board, in rear of trailer. Fabricate removable conference in rear of trailer. Fabricate and install Equipment Rack 45 RU s. -Concealed covered cable trays (Soffit fascia) will be installed in the ceiling on both sides to allow for future electrical and data lines to be run. The concealed cable trays should be a minimum of 6 square. EXPANDABLE SECTIONS An expandable body section will be located on the street side (2) and curbside front (1) of the unit. The slide outs sections will have reinforced structural supports for the sidewall openings. The floor section of the expandable section will be fixed to allow for work sections and seating. The interior of the expandable section will be finished with the same material used on the main portion of the body.

EXTERIOR Observation Deck with side guide rails. Awning 17. Walk able roof w/antenna support. Cover for entry steps (straight in staircase). Leveling system -Install set of four (4) hydraulic stabilizing jacks, these jacks shall be attached to the chassis frame rails with grade 8 fasteners. The control of the jacks will be in the cab within easy reach of the driver. Each jack will have a rating of 17,500 Lbs. Antenna, local TV. Install rear ladder. Provide and Install 20 Awning curbside. Install exterior telephone box. Forward section of couch with two (2) slide outs. -Driver Side, 162 -Passenger side 126 Rear section of couch with two (1) slide outs (curbside). -Driver side with a bench seat w/storage underneath, 100. GALLEY Provide and Install double stainless steel sink w/single handle faucet. Install 6 CU/FT, refrigerator (110v/lp). Install pocket door for lavatory. Install toilet, paper towel holder, sink and cabinet as shown in drawings. Install water heater location as shown in drawings. Install microwave.
AUDIO/VIDEO/TELEPHONES Provide TV/DVD unit (1), installed in the forward section in the cab section. 120-VOLT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Provide generator fuel supply, compartment door, and insulation. Provide 12 KW generator, quiet, liquid cooled Onan Diesel. The generator shall be equipped with a shut down system on low oil pressure and high water temperature. Provide 25 30 amp shore power cord. Provide two (2) specification grade duplex wall outlets. Provide two (2) specification grade exterior GFI duplex outlets with sealed covers. Provide one (2) 15K BTU roof air conditioner with 5,000 BTU heat strips and condensation drip tray. All electrical circuits and appliances shall conform to applicable national electrical codes. Two (2) sets of wiring schematics will be provided. 12-VOLT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Provide four (4) deep-cycle batteries. Batteries shall be installed in underbody weather resistant powder coated metal compartment with box pan access doors. Doors to have stainless steel continuous piano hinge, stainless steel locking paddle latch, and stainless steel strike plates, and all stainless steel mounting hardware. Provide one (1) 75-amp UL approved power converter, with the following features. Shottke diodes for low power dissipation. Diodes mounted for field replacement on a fan cooled aluminum heat sink. Manual reset circuit breaker. Terminal block for easy, secure electrical connections. Provide Kussmaul Auto Charge 11. Provide isolator to allow both alternator and power converter to charge the main and auxiliary batteries.
Provide 12 VDC control panel with six (6) UL listed magnetic/hydraulic circuit breakers with led indicators to show activation, 12V voltmeter, and 12V low voltage alarm. Provide two (2) Cole Hersee #M752 master disconnect switches. One to control the main batter system. Second switch to control the auxiliary battery system. Provide five (5) Whelen white quartz halogen scene lights with 26-degree optics on exterior of van body. One mounted over rear door, two mounted on curbside and two mounted on street side of van body. Provide eight (8) Whelen strobe lights four (4) red and four (4) blue located, two (2) front, two (2) rear, and two (2) on each side. Switches to be located at drivers position. Provide non-slip handles at side entry doors. Provide (1) reversible 12 power roof ventilator. Provide one (1) 120VAC and one (1) 12 VDC at each work station. WIRING REQUIREMENTS Provide 4-gauge copper stranded battery cable to be used for 12 VDC main supply line. All cable to be home run, no splices. All cable terminals are to be staked and soldered. All cable is to be enclosed in convoluted polyethylene tubing and the ends of cable sealed with color-coded shrink-wrap identifying the function of the cable. All added electrical circuits shall be protected from over current by re-settable circuit breakers appropriately rated for the load. Only circuit breakers shall be used in the installation of electrical wiring (plug type fuses are unacceptable). Circuit breaker functions are to be identified by engraved labels. All added wiring for load runs shall be AWG 8, 10, 12, 14, and 18 must conform to national electrical standard. Wire terminals for added circuits 2must conform to national standard. Terminals to be insulated, and crimped with tooling recommended by the terminal manufacturer. All wiring is to be protected from chafing and abrasion with convoluted polyethylene tubing. Where wiring passes through sheet metal, bulkhead, and structural support, rubber Grommets shall be used to protect both wiring and wire looms. All wiring to be supported on 12 centers. All wire bundles shall be tied with flat nylon ties on 6 centers maximum. All wiring to be color-coded and marked every 6 to 12 inches. The complete 12 VDC wiring system and electrical appliances shall be to modern automotive standards throughout the installation.
