Brista 2 waste-to-energy to energy combined heat and power plant Heat and electricity is produced from municipal and industrial waste that is not recycled or reused. About 240,000 tonnes of waste will be burnt annually. The capacity is about 60 MW heat and 20 MW electricity equals the heat and electricity consumption of about 40,000 households. Completed in Sigtuna, north of Stockholm, in the end of 2013. 37 2013-05-20

100 % biofuel in combined heat and power plant in Värtaverket Annual production of 1,700 GWh heat and 750 GWh electricity equals the annual heat consumption of about 190,000 Swedish households. The CO2 emissions in Stockholm will decrease by 126,000 tonnes annually equals emissions from the road transport in Stockholm during 1,5 months. The global CO2 emissions will decrease by 650,000 tons annually. 800 1,000 will be employed during the construction period 2013 2016. 42 2013-05-20
Open district heating recovery of energy Together with customers of district heating and cooling we make use of the energy that otherwise would be lost. Minor and major suppliers will get economic compensation for supplied energy. Environmental benefit reduced need to produce new heat. Evaluation of the project with the pilots in 2013 and full scale launch in 2014. 43 2013-05-20
