pag.3 SKYPHO VOIP SERVICE The use of SKYPHO VoIP (Voice Over IP) service is simple and quick. You need only an Internet access, the DPH-140S IP Phone and with few clicks you could use the new telephone line with the quality equal to the traditional landline. To use the SKYPHO s VOIP service, you need: - One computer with an Ethernet port - One modem/router with a LAN port - One Internet access; - One Username and one Password (account SIP). The SIP account is the registration made on SKYPHO s server that allows to the user to access the VoIP services provided by the server itself. It is composed by a Username, coincident with the telephone number you have been assigned and a Password (confidential access code) by which you can access the Skypho telephone services. LOOK OUT! The confidentiality of this data is necessary in order to guarantee that the service will be accessed only by you. For your major safety, you can choose a new password by accessing on Skypho s registration site. pag.4 DEVICE PHYSICAL CONNECTION First of all, you have to make the physical connection of the device, following the simple instructions hereafter included: Insert the Ethernet cable in the PC port of the DPH-140S Connect the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port of your PC Connect the power adapter to the wall socket Insert the Ethernet cable to the LAN port of your DPH-140S Connect the other end of the cable to your LAN (Hub/Modem/Router) Internet Here below you can find the layout for the physical connection of the device.

ACCESS TO THE DEVICE pag.6 Once the connection is completed, you can proceed with the D-LINK DPH-140S configuration. Verify that on your router the DHCP service is either in Enable status (DHCP allows the network administrator to distribute IP addresses when a computer is plugged into a different place in the network) or in Disable status (this means that in your LAN the IP addresses are used in a static way). Then, follow the suitable configuration instructions. Accesso to the IP Phone when the DHCP is working 1. verify that the LAN port of your PC is configured in order to obtain an IP address automatically. Click on Start \ Settings\ Network connections, double click on Local area connections (LAN). In the new window, click on Properties and then double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Verify that the option Obtain an IP address automatically is activated or modify the setting and press OK. At the end, you can close all the opened windows. 2. press MENU on the IP Phone keyboard to assign the IP address to your D-LINK DPH-140S. You will see Display Name: on the IP Phone display: insert the telephone number assigned by Skypho during registration. Press the key, you will see ADSL DIALUP: on the IP Phone display, press the key to set it on DISABLE, if it is already in this status go to the following step. Press the key, you will see DHCP on the IP Phone display, press the key to set it on ENABLE. Your DPH-140S will make an automatic update of the settings and it will show DHCP; again in the ENABLE status. At this point your Voip configuration is finished, press MENU and OK to exit the configuration. Access your router configuration and between the LAN or DHCP Client information and check which Ip address has been assigned to your D-LINK DPH-140S and write it down (in the following example the address is 192.168.0.3). 3. open your Web Browser (ie. Internet Explorer), insert the IP address of your D- LINK DPH-140S - http://192.168.0.x:9999 (in the example 192.168.0.3) and press GO.
4. Leave Username and Password blank as you are installing the phone for the first time and press OK. pag.7 Look out!! The confidentiality of this data is necessary in order to guarantee that the equipment configuration is accessible only by you. We suggest to proceed with the configuration password change and to write it down by using the Web Login Configuration. 5. After few seconds it will appear the D-link DPH-140S Voip Phone page where you can modify the configuration parameters of your D-LINK DPH-140S, as indicate in the following chapter. LOOK OUT!: The changes are going to be effective only after the saving ( Update ) and restart ( Reboot ) of your IP Phone, as indicated in this manual. Access to the IP Phone when the DHCP service is not working 1. configure the static IP address (in the example 192.168.0.2) on the LAN port of your PC. Click on Start \ Settings\ Network connections, double click on Local area connections (LAN). In the new window click on Properties and then double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Verify that the option Use the following IP address is activated, or modify the setting and fill in the following fields: IP Address: 192.168.0.x with x different from 1 and 3 (the last one is the default IP we assigned to the Voip Telephone). For example 192.168.0.2. Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway predefinito: 192.168.0.1 For DNS servers, it should be used the IP addresses provided by the Internet Service Provider. Once finished the configuration, press OK and close all the opened windows.
2. configure the static IP address on your IP Phone. Press MENU, use the cursor to go down and digit the telephone number you have been assigned by Skypho on the Display Name:. Press the key, it will appear ADSL DIALUP:, press the key to set it on DISABLE, in the case it is in ENABLE status. Press the key, it will appear DHCP, press key to set it on DISABLE, in the case it is in ENABLE status. Press key, it will appear IP Address, digit the IP address that you have chosen (ie. 192.168.000.003). Press the key, it will appear Subnet Mask:, digit the network connection data (ie. 255.255.255.0). Press the key, it will appear Voip Router:, digit the default Gateway you will find in the network connection (ie. 192.168.000.001). Press the, it will appear DNS Server IP, digit the IP addresses provided by the Internet Service Provider. Press the key, it will appear SNTP Server IP:, insert the IP address 62.94.7.9, press MENU, then OK. Your SIP DPH-140S Telephone is ready to make and receive Voip Calls! 3. to complete the settings, from your PC open your Web Browser (ie. Internet Explorer), insert the IP address 192.168.0.x:9999 (in the example 192.168.0.3) and press GO. pag.8 4. Leave blank the Username and Password fields and click on OK. Look out!! WEB BROWSER CONFIGURATION pag.9 Before proceeding with the configuration of your D-LINK DPH-140S using a Web Browser, it is important that you have at your disposal the username and password for the VoIP service that you obtained during registration in Skypho. Access the Management menu, create the User Name and Password for accessing the Voip telephone management. If you don t want to change the default data, leave blank the User Name and Password fields. Insert the 62.94.7.9 value in the NTP Server IP field, select your Time Zone and put TFTP Server and FTP Client in Enable status. LAN Parameters 1. Verify that the DHCP option on the Network Settings page of the IP Address has been selected. Insert 62.94.0.1 in the DNS Server field. Then click on Submit Look out! If in your LAN, the IP addresses are used in a static way, it is necessary to choose STATIC IP and insert the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Router, DNS Server 1 and 2 values in order to avoid conflicts on the network.
pag.10 VoIP Parameters 2. Insert your SIP account values that you received from Skypho during registration. NOTE: The SIP account is the subscription registered on the Skypho s server that allows to the user to access the VoIP services provided by the server itself. It is composed by a User name, coincident with the telephone number you have been assigned and a Password (confidential access code) by which you can access the telephone services of Skypho. User name and Password will be provided directly by Skypho at the activation of the service. Display Name = Telephone Number Assigned by SKYPHO SIP User Name = Telephone Number Assigned by SKYPHO Authentication User Name = Telephone Number Assigned by SKYPHO Authentication Password = SIP Account Password assigned by SKYPHO For the other settings, follow what indicated in the picture. Then click on Submit

Then click on Submit 3. From the STUN & UpnP Settings menu, select the Enable option in the STUN field and digit stun.voip.eutelia.it in the STUN Domain Name/IP Address field. Leave Disable in the UpnP field Save by clicking on Submit.
