Assures Compliance with State Law/ Security Measures Assists attorneys, accountants, and individual entrepreneurs in opening a new business or opening another location of an existing business in compliance with State laws Appropriate security measures have been built into SCBOS to assure privacy and data integrity Security Provides Electronic Payment Options Allows electronic payments by either Credit Card or Electronic Funds Withdrawal (debit) payments by using the shopping cart method as seen in many web-based sites. 11
The Department of Revenue maintains and process payments for SCBOS A central accounting and processing system was developed and implemented using accounting principals and standards. Standards were established with the Office of the State Treasurer and Comptroller General. The LPR fees colleted are credited to the proper Earmarked Fund or to the General Fund. Accounting reports are made to participating agencies and to the Office of the State Treasurer. Credit Card and processing fee s are negotiated by the State Treasurer. Users are not charged an add on credit card or processing fee. The associated merchant fees EFW are paid from the Revenue stream 12
