It is a completely modular solution and can be tailor-made to meet the needs of each client; it can even be the answer for those companies looking for a server facility, in their own offices or externalized in a large data centre, either of their own property or rented, on a pay-for-use basis. RETEX DataBOX is also be the best solution for companies that: Require the use of a data centre in a short period of time (less than one month). Require a data centre at a reasonable price, avoiding large investment. Would like to obtain a next-generation data centre without putting the investment at risk in view of a possible relocation of the business. 1.1 SPECIFICATIONS Advanced Modular Data Center. Naval container, vandalism protected and waterproof. External dimensions20 feet (6.16 m x 2.59 m x 2.43 m). Made of reinforced corrugated steel with internal and external anticorrosive treatment for indoor and outdoor conditions. Floor reinforced with galvanized steel plates and longitudinal steel beams for anchoring and fixing the LOGIC2 racks and HVAC equipment. Each DataBOX has high energy-efficiency HVAC systems with liquid cooling and free cooling ready. These systems are included in the N+1 set-up and can provide up to 90 KW. DataBOX PUE index is less than 1,3 including the energy consumption of the chillers and the HRV. The corridor "cold" (or frontal zone) has an area of 90cm between the wall of the module and the LOGIC2 racks. Its thermal isolation allows a perfect inner temperature optimization. 2. ADAVANTAGES OF THE SOLUTION MORE THAN 300 SERVERS IN JUST 1 DataBOX Fully transportable, conceived for housing high density IT's platforms and operating as an independent Datacenter, backing centres in case of continuity of operations plans, Cloud Computing configurations or as a modular and scalable conventional Datacenter. Retex DataBOX offers a number of added benefits compared to traditional data centers: The manufacture and design of the solution are done in-house. Its modularity and scalability allow for the initial investment to be limited and adjusted to the real-time needs of the client. Its high energy efficiency and its mobility allow for energy savings of up to 40%, thanks also to the fact that it can be situated in the most convenient location. It is designed to follow the company wherever the business relocates moves to, and its location-independence guarantees continuity of business. It is in constant evolution: the autonomous nature of each module means that it can be upgraded to the latest technologies without the need for large investment Portability and ubiquity Thanks to an easy transportation and to a constructive structure complying with ISO standards, the DataBOX can move quickly and easily, allowing to be used in contingency plans for the recovery of IT services in record time. Security Each module counts with all the necessary equipments to guarantee an optimal security from the inside and outside, by the implementation of detection systems and fire extinguish, control of access, watertightness, control and regulation of the environmental conditions, electrical, optical fibre connections and air-conditioning redundancies. Scalability/Modularity Because each module is perfectly able to operate independently, simply adding further modules it will be easy to increase the space dedicated to the equipments. - 7 -
Costs reduction An optimal design will imply a reduction of electrical consumption, allowing a significant cost reduction compare to conventional solutions. Energy efficiency The concentration of equipments located in a reduced space will allow employing air-conditioning of high effectiveness in energy savings. The energy saving will reach up to an 80% compare to conventional Datacentres. Implementation Thanks to its modular concept, the lead time of construction if about a few weeks only, which represents a substantial reduction of time compare to the one necessary to build a conventional Datacentres. - 8 -

Green IT: The new energy-efficient data centre is one of the largest of its kind in Spain, and one of the most energy-efficient in the world. We have taken into account the specifications of the area and its natural resources to benefit the operation of the data centre thus reduce the PUE index as much as possible. DataBOX s PUE index is less than 1.3, including the energy consumption of the chillers and the HRV: we achieve this by exploiting the area s naturally low temperatures to cool the modular data centers, leading to a reduction in redundant energy consumption. We also comply with all environmental ISO regulations. (1) PUE is a measure of how efficiently a computer data centre uses its power; specifically, how much of the power is actually used by the computing equipment (in contrast to cooling and other overhead). PUE is the ratio of total amount of power used by a computer data centre facility to the power delivered to computing equipment. In the following table we can see if a given data centre is energy efficient depending on its PUE index. - 11 -
