INDIAN STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL AID FOUNDATION Website: - www.iseaf.org (The Societies Registration Act, 1860, 133/Goa/95) Office: - Rai, Siolim, Bardez, Goa 403 517. E-Mail:- iseafoff@gmail.com German E-Mail:- ausbildungshilfe@web.de German Website: - www.ausbildungshilfe-indien.de Our Waiting List Website: www.iseaf-info.org DECEMBER 2013 Dear Sponsors, We are at the fagend of the year 2013 and are looking forward to greet the year 2014. Indian Students Educational Aid Foundation sends warm greetings to all our sponsors, well wishers, and patrons and wishes them all MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. This academic year 2013-14, 151 students completed their education. We received 472 applications for scholarship this year. After scrutinizing all these applications and conducting personal interviews 125 students were given scholarships this year. More than fifty students are kept in the waiting list www.iseaf-info.org. It will be very much appreciated if you can recommend to your friends and associates to visit this website so that some of our students may get some sponsors and it will enable them to complete their education. First step of the new building of Indo German Techno Centre is ready for occupation. Since it is close to Mapusa city we will get more students and it will be easy to get teaching faculties. Due to government s new policy, materials for the construction are not available and the cost of construction has increased a lot. However we intent to complete the remaining portion of the ground floor as early as possible. Our Home Nursing Bureau is functioning very well. All the students who were being educated are working. This inspired us to start a placement bureau for 1

the students who are being educated in other trades. A placement bureau was inaugurated on 28 th September 2013 at the hands of Mr. Laxmikant Parsekar, Hon. Minister of health, Govt. of Goa. Around 200 students registered in this bureau. We will be organizing campus interviews for these students so that the firms who need manpower can recruit them personally from the campus. I do get queries from some sponsors. They read that Indian economy is growing fast. If that is the case do your students need help? So I thought of writing about it to clear all doubts. It is true that Indian economy is boosting. But unfortunately it benefits only the rich people. All the leading motor vehicles in the world are available in India. These privileged classes have all luxuries. But the poor people struggle. The inflation hits them very badly. Many of them even find it difficult to have full meals. They have a miserable life. We are working for such people and try to educate them and place them in a comfortable position in the society. We are pleased to answer all the queries from our sponsors about their students or about our organisation. So you are free to ask more & more questions and we will give you all the required information s. We humbly admit that this organisation is functioning only because of your patronage, help and morale support. Please find enclosed few stories of successful students who received scholarship from ISEAF. We also enclosed some interesting stories of students who completed their education from our technical institutes. Yours Sincerely Jacob Mathew President & Chief Functionary ISEAF SONAM PILGAONKAR 2

My name is Sonam Pilgaonkar. I stay at Pilgao, Bicholim. I scored 82% marks for my X th class board examination. But our financial condition was very bad. My father was working as a casual labourer and he does not get job regularly. My mother is housewife and she does not have any income of her own. Besides I have two sisters they are also studying. Our principal told me about Indian Students Educational Aid Foundation and how they help poor students like me. I applied for the scholarship and I was selected and that was the turning point in my life. Now I am a postgraduate in Chemistry and work as a lecturer of Chemistry in St. Xavier s College, Mapusa. I got a very good sponsor Mrs. Ursula Wolf. She was like my second mother. Every year she comes to visit me along with her other students. She sends her periodical letters were very encouraging. This helped me in keeping good spirits through out my student life. I am very grateful to her for all her help. Today I am very happy and content. It is all because of ISEAF.
